By adopting the Forest Garden Approach, farmers are leading the charge for sustainable development and creating brighter futures for their communities.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nLearn more at trees.org.<br \/>\nTHE ROLE\u00a0<br \/>\nBased in Mwanza, the People and Culture (P&amp;C) Manager promotes a productive and equitable work environment for all Tanzania staff and manages the full employment life cycle for all staff and fostering a positive working culture.\u00a0 As a key partner to the Country Director, the P&amp;C Manager advises on strategic People topics, ensures compliance with all Tanzania employment requirements, and assists in inspiring and motivating an engaged, committed, and successful team.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe P&amp;C Manager works closely with the Global People and Culture team to design and execute key aspects of the HR process in compliance with global policies, systems, and practices. The individual will join the Tanzania team but will also become part of a network of People and Culture professionals in the client\u2019s current countries of operation and others as the organization grows. Facilitated by the Global People and Culture team, the in-country P&amp;C functions across countries will share an approach, a single HRIS system (Rippling), policy and procedures, and have opportunities to exchange good practices and innovations, increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of all People operations.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nRESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\nPeople and Culture Foundations\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Adoption and adaptation as needed of the Tanzania People\/HR Manual, Code of Conduct, and other key policies per organizational and Tanzania jurisdictional requirements.<br \/>\nComprehensive knowledge, full utilization, and dissemination of staff requirements on rippling governing all staff data and information, recruiting processes and procedures, onboarding and offboarding protocols and documentation, performance management process and documentation, and time reporting<br \/>\nIn collaboration with the Global P&amp;C team, maintain up-to-date competency and compensation frameworks.<br \/>\nMaintain country People analytics framework and work with Global HR to keep this updated and synchronized with the organizational framework.<\/p>\n<p>Employee Relations<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with the Global P&amp;C team and local counsel, maintain and standardize best practice staff contractual mechanisms.<br \/>\nPromote regular communication on all organizational requirements and promote a positive environment for exchange among staff, including where needed the raising and handling of complaints or grievances in a productive and compliant manner.<br \/>\nReinforce good practices by managers in engaging and providing support and constructive advice to their subordinates.<br \/>\nOrganize staff recognition, events and meetings to promote good teamwork and P&amp;C administration.<\/p>\n<p>Employee Engagement and Welfare<\/p>\n<p>Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.<br \/>\nOrganize employee recognition programmes, team-building activities, and annual retreats.<br \/>\nAddress employee concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with health, safety, and welfare regulations, including medical insurance renewals.<\/p>\n<p>Workforce Planning and Performance Management<\/p>\n<p>With the Country Director, Global HR and in-country managers, analyze current and future talent needs to align them with an organization\u2019s strategy and business goals.<br \/>\nDesign and implement performance management systems to drive high performance and employee development.<br \/>\nEstablish and update key performance indicators (KPIs) for all functions and monitor organizational success against these metrics.<br \/>\nManage the appraisal process, ensuring timely and constructive feedback for all employees.<\/p>\n<p>Training and Development<\/p>\n<p>Identify organizational training and development needs through skills gap analysis and consultation with team leads.<br \/>\nDevelop and deliver training programmes to enhance employee skills and competencies.<br \/>\nCreate career development frameworks to support employee growth and retention.<\/p>\n<p>Compensation and Benefits<\/p>\n<p>Research, design, and implement competitive compensation and benefits programmes.<br \/>\nPrepare and manage the annual P&amp;C budget, including staffing and personnel costs.<br \/>\nConduct periodic salary reviews and ensure alignment with market trends.<br \/>\nOversee payroll processes and ensure timely submission of monthly pay slips.<\/p>\n<p>WHO YOU ARE <\/p>\n<p>An enthusiastic advocate for TREES\u2019 mission and values.
