\nPosition: Big Data & Analytics Manager
\nMixx, a fintech company under the AXIAN Group, is hiring for a Big Data & Analytics Manager position in Dar Es Salaam. This role requires a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, along with 5-10 years of experience in data and analytics roles, including at least 2 years managing teams.
\nCore Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Lead and manage Data Analytics and Business Insights teams.
\nDefine and execute the company\u2019s Big Data & Analytics strategy.
\nDrive a data-driven culture across all business units.
\nOversee design and maintenance of scalable data solutions and pipelines.
\nEnsure data governance, quality, and compliance standards.
\nDeliver actionable insights to support strategy, innovation, and efficiency.
\nApply AI\/ML and advanced analytics for predictive and prescriptive insights.
\nBuild dashboards, reports, and scorecards to track KPIs and business performance.
\nPartner with business leaders to identify opportunities for measurable impact.
\nRecruit, mentor, and develop analytics talent while fostering collaboration and innovation.<\/p>\n
Core Competencies<\/p>\n
Proven track record of building and scaling analytics teams & big data solutions.
\nTechnical Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and others).
\nExperience and familiarity with machine learning and AI frameworks.
\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.
\nAbility to lead cross-functional teams and influence at the executive level.
\nStrategic thinker with strong problem-solving and project management abilities.<\/p>\n
