\nJob Requirements<\/p>\n
University degree in finance or another relevant subject.
\nFinancial services experience.
\nExcellent verbal and written skills with high proficiency in English.
\nStrong management skills across a range of challenging situations.
\nTenacity, commitment, and personal drive to deliver whatever it takes.
\nPeople management skills, with the ability to influence, cajole, and direct where appropriate, and to judge when to support, intervene, or escalate.
\nRelationship management and business partnering skills, with proven experience building, developing, and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders, especially senior management.
\nRoot cause analysis skills, including understanding an issue or complex problem, identifying key drivers, and working with process owners to define and implement sustainable solutions.
\nConversant in structured query language (SQL).
\nProject management and scoping of work plans.<\/p>\n
Core Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Conduct risk assessments for all new MFS products, services, and promotions, ensuring proposed controls are executed in alignment with stakeholders.
\nReview MFS control policies, procedures, and processes periodically to maintain effectiveness and alignment with business risk protection.
\nEnsure compliance of MFS business activities, including managed service agreements, with GSMA Mobile Money Code of Conduct and regulatory standards.
\nOversee execution of Gawio processes in line with the National Payment System (NPS) Act 2015, related regulations, and internal control procedures.
\nMonitor E-Stock management controls, ensure clearance of pending items, and validate\/report BOT returns (Ecosystem vs Trust reconciliation and monthly returns).
\nPerform due diligence and sanction\/PEP screening for all MFS corporate customers and partners, with ongoing weekly reviews.
\nMonitor transactions for suspicious activities linked to money laundering, terrorism financing, fraud, or financial losses, and investigate reported cases.
\nManage MFS risk and compliance alerts, ensuring timely review, closure, and periodic updates of alerts configurations and dashboards.
\nVerify inactive refund requests, respond to formal transaction information requests from regulators (e.g., Bank of Tanzania), and support audits\/inquiries.
\nProvide additional risk analysis and reporting as required by senior management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in risk management activities.<\/p>\n
