It was registered in November 1997 under the Trustees Ordinance (CAP 373) and Act No. 24 of 2002 with registration number 1497. TAYOA operates with two boards: the Board of Trustees and the Youth Advisory Board.<br \/>\nProgram Overview<br \/>\nThe Ministry of Health, through Global Fund Cycle 7 (GFC7) Grant support, implements an essential TB\/HIV Community-based Program (October 2025\u2013December 2026) to sustain and expand community HIV and TB services. The GFC7 program collaborates with the Lead CSO, Christian Social Services Commission (CSSC), and four Sub-sub Recipients (SSRs): TAYOA, NACOPHA, MKUTA, and STEPS. The program focuses on delivering community-based TB\/HIV services across 185 councils, prioritizing peer-led service delivery and integration with Local Government Authorities.<br \/>\nProgram Goals<\/p>\n<p>Reduce new HIV infections by 85% (from 2010 baseline) by 2025.<br \/>\nReduce mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) to &lt;4% at the end of breastfeeding by 2025.<br \/>\nReduce AIDS-related deaths by 80% from the 2010 baseline.<br \/>\nReduce HIV-related stigma to &lt;5% by 2025.<br \/>\nReduce TB incidence and mortality through enhanced detection, treatment, and prevention.<\/p>\n<p>Job Opportunity: Driver (3 Posts)<br \/>\nTAYOA is seeking applications from highly qualified, well-experienced, competent, and motivated individuals for the position of Driver (3 posts).<br \/>\nJob Details<\/p>\n<p>Reports to: TAYOA Administration Officer<br \/>\nDuty Station: Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, and Mwanza<br \/>\nJob Summary: The Driver will perform duties of driving project vehicles to ensure safe transportation of authorized personnel and\/or equipment\/supplies to various destinations. She\/he has to make sure the vehicle is kept safe and secured.<\/p>\n<p>Main Roles and Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Provide periodic usage reports of the vehicle, including total mileage, fuel consumption, and expenditure.<br \/>\nFollow and abide by traffic rules, regulations, the driver safety manual, and any other instructions given by the supervisor or management.<br \/>\nEnsure the filling of the logbook for each travel allocated.<br \/>\nHandle transport of all staff, visitors, and equipment\/materials.<br \/>\nMaintain vehicles, including fuel, lubrication, oil, interior, and exterior.<br \/>\nPrepare mileage and fuel consumption reports.<br \/>\nReport and supervise all maintenance and repair needs of the assigned vehicle.<br \/>\nMaintain vehicle first aid kit, communication equipment, and fire extinguisher.<br \/>\nPerform any other duties assigned by supervisors.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n<p>Certificate of Secondary Education or Driving Certificate from a reputable driving college.<br \/>\nCertificate of Advanced Driving Course from NIT or VETA.<br \/>\nDriving License Class B, C, D, and E.<br \/>\nAt least three years of work experience as a driver with international organizations or local NGOs.<br \/>\nBasic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the ability to perform routine checks (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations).<br \/>\nAbility to adapt to different weather conditions, traffic situations, and road environments.<br \/>\nAwareness of and adherence to all road safety regulations and protocols.<\/p>\n<p>Core Competencies and Skills<\/p>\n<p>Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.<br \/>\nStrong customer service skills.<br \/>\nGood oral communication ability in both Swahili and English.<br \/>\nFlexibility and ability to work with different people.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
