\nPURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
\nTo provide physical security services in the Process plant, bullion shipment, foot patrol and general
\nsecurity observations.
\n\u00a0
\nQUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n
Ordinary level Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) or above.<\/p>\n
\u00a0
\nEXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
Minimum of two (2) years\u2019 experience in security duties in the Mining environment.
\nWork experience at Geita Gold Mine will be added advantage.<\/p>\n
\u00a0
\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
No criminal record
\nClean disciplinary record
\nUnquestionable integrity
\nBe physically fit and be able to pass pre-employment and medical examinations \/ screening.<\/p>\n

\nMAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/p>\n
Providing security service professionally to the Process plant stakeholders while respecting human rights and adhering to AGA values.
\nConduct foot patrols in the process plant and around the perimeter fence, and report any irregularities observed to the shift supervisor.
\nAttend tasks with high security risks, such as maintenance works within mill section areas, elution, and primary crusher areas.
\nReport any observed suspicious action, security, and safety breach to the shift supervisor
\nConduct body search to employees, contractors and visitors to the designated access points and where required.
\nEnsure contra band items are not allowed inside the process plant.
\nEnsure only authorized personnel are allowed into the process plant. This includes GGM employees, contractors, and visitors.
\nConduct thorough searching to all personal belonging on entry and exit from the process plant.
\nConduct through search to all vehicles on entry and exit from the process plant.
\nAttend Gold house security duties.
\nImplement three D\u2019s modal (Deter- Discourage, Detect- spot and Denial \u2013 Prevent crime inside the process plant.
\nWaybill checks and filing
\nCompletion of security related register books.
\nUnderstand all security Standard operating Procedures and adhere to them.
\nAttending Disciplinary Hearing cases as witness where required.
\nEnsure Compliance of VPSHR (Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights)
\nEnsure Compliance to basic Cyanide training and all other Process Plant trainings.
\nDeclaration of any Conflict of Interest is mandatory.
\nEnsure high level of confidentiality; Don\u2019t Disclose any Security Critical Information.
\nConduct any other tasks assigned by your superior.<\/p>\n
