Job Purpose:
\nDrive the ecosystem approach to select anchor clients by ensuring service provision by the Bank across the target anchor\u2019s value chain. The role holder is expected to coordinate business execution in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Wholesale, Retail and Treasury) to increase c-suite oversight while optimizing banks share of wallet with anchor clients and strategic projects for the bank.<\/p>\n
Main Responsibilities:
\nBusiness expertise
\nWholesale Aspects<\/p>\n
Ensure deep understanding of wholesale business strategy, opportunities and dynamics.
\nEnsure deep understanding of all sectors ecosystem, requirements and opportunities.
\nEnsure market, economic dynamics, emerging opportunities i.e. Projects are leveraged.
\nRetail Aspects
\nEnsure deep understanding of retail business dynamics and operating structures.
\nEnsure retail banking integration into wholesale to ensure opportunities are being tapped
\nSupport relationship management role(s) to share opportunities across to other businesses.
\nAdvice the management on the best operating models for efficient pipeline execution.
\nTreasury Aspects
\nEnsure understanding of treasury solutions and opportunities in unlocking business capacity to manage liquidity and foreign exchange risks.
\nEnsure understanding of financing opportunities available and alignment to other business priorities and risk appetite.
\nAnalytical expertise
\nDesign reports for management and stakeholders.
\nAnalyze and advise stakeholders deposit movements within and outside the bank.
\nEnsure frequent analytical insights on portfolio behaviors to stakeholders.
\nLead the digitization of the ecosystem to ensure better performance.
\nEstablish pipeline depository of value chain key initiatives for the bank.
\nSolutions structuring
\nPropose and participate in structuring solutions to unlock value chain opportunities.
\nBring in best practices to the bank as solutions in unlocking value chain.
\nAdvise the management and add value in pricing discussion with pan bank perspectives and insights on value chain potentials.
\nStrategic Direction
\nUnderstand the bank\u2019s medium-term plan in alignment with value chain banking to ensure proper execution.
\nEstablish milestones to ensure transformation of business approaches.
\nEnsure capacity building done to senior management that will impact the rest of the business teams across the bank.
\nDrive value chain perspective along with management.
\nSupport business functions in developing strategies.
\nFormulate and manage a team capable of collaborative work approach to support business execution.
\nProvide 360 technical expertise and support to the Strategy and growth function.
\nGovernance
\nLead KPIs establishment for all businesses.
\nEstablish forum(s) or incorporate agenda in existing forum structures.
\nEnsure presence and leadership in relevant business forums.
\nTrack and report to ensure realization of business commitments to value chain deals approved in various forums i.e. Credco(s).<\/p>\n
Knowledge and Skills:<\/p>\n
Deep knowledge in value chain and ecosystem.
\nAbility to identify opportunities on value chain.
\nKey business flows Agriculture, tourism, mining, energy, government, intuitional banking and others.
\nUnderstanding of Credit, trade finance and cash management solutions.
\nInterpersonal skills and stakeholders\u2019 management skills.
\nStrategic mindset.
\nEnterprise data analytics ability to identify opportunities.
\nLeadership skills.
\nSelf-driven execution ability.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accountancy, Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
\nMaster\u2019s degree in the above-mentioned fields is an added advantage
\nKnowledge and Experience in MI and Analytics will be an added advantage
\nAt least 7 years\u2019 experience in banking, including minimum 5 years in business departments with a proven track record of leadership experience in medium to large organizations.
