\nTo lead and scale the bank\u2019s mortgage financing portfolio by developing and executing strategies that drive sustainable growth, enhance customer acquisition, strengthen asset quality, and establish the bank as a market leader in mortgage products.<\/p>\n
Main Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Develop and implement the bank\u2019s mortgage financing strategy, policies, and annual business plans.
\nIdentify and capitalize on market opportunities to expand the mortgage portfolio and increase the bank\u2019s share in housing finance.
\nSupport Head of department to design innovative mortgage products that address diverse customer needs, including first-time buyers, property developers, and high-net-worth individuals.
\nLead product development and refinement to ensure mortgage solutions remain competitive and relevant.
\nPosition the bank as a leader in the mortgage market through innovation, strong partnerships, and customer-first strategies.
\nBuild and maintain strategic partnerships with real estate developers, housing agencies, government housing schemes, and property agents.
\nChampion digital solutions for mortgages to improve access, efficiency, and customer convenience.
\nDrive cross-selling with other retail products (deposits, insurance, digital banking) to deepen customer relationships and maximize wallet share.
\nOversee end-to-end management of the mortgage book \u2014 acquisition, appraisal, disbursement, and recovery.
\nMonitor portfolio quality closely and lead initiatives to reduce NPLs and PAR levels.
\nCollaborate with internal teams (ICT, Operations, Risk) to continuously improve systems, processes, and credit controls.
\nLead, coach, and mentor the mortgage team, embedding a performance-driven culture with clear accountability.
\nSupport branch staff with training and guidance to drive mortgage sales and service delivery.
\nBuild a strong succession pipeline and nurture future leaders within the mortgage segment.
\nAct as subject matter expert and advisor on mortgage strategy to senior management and cross-functional teams.
\nEnsure 100 compliance with regulatory and internal credit standards, policies, and audit requirements.
\nProvide regular performance and risk reports to senior management and governance committees.
\nUphold the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, and integrity.<\/p>\n
Knowledge and Skills:<\/p>\n
Strong understanding of mortgage and housing finance, real estate markets, and credit risk.
\nMS Office, credit appraisal tools, portfolio management systems.
\nStrategic leadership and ability to scale portfolios sustainably.
\nStrong negotiation, business development, and partnership-building skills.
\nRisk management and credit expertise.
\nAnalytical and problem-solving capabilities.
\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field
\nMinimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in credit\/asset financing with at least 2 years in mortgage finance leadership.
