{"id":2615,"date":"2025-10-24T14:02:19","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T14:02:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/job\/senior-mechanical-engineer-at-dangote\/"},"modified":"2026-02-04T15:03:52","modified_gmt":"2026-02-04T15:03:52","slug":"senior-mechanical-engineer-at-dangote","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/?post_type=job_listing&p=2615","title":{"rendered":"Senior Mechanical Engineer at Dangote"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Location: Mtwara Plant Tanzania, Mtwara Plant Tanzania<br \/>\nCompany: Dangote Industries Limited<br \/>\nJob Summary<br \/>\nShall be a team leader to lead the Work Force and train them in operation and preventive maintenance of equipment\u2019s related to cement manufacturing.<br \/>\nShall introduce the technique of monitoring records and health and condition of the equipment.<br \/>\nWill impart training to his team members to work safely and to keep the machines in good condition to meet the demand.<br \/>\nShall be responsible for all the spare parts planning and maintaining budgeted MTBF &amp; MTTR for his section.<br \/>\nInternational Job Listings<br \/>\nKey Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\nOperation &amp; maintenance expert for pertaining to the mechanical equipment for production of cement like vertical roller mills and reclaimers.<br \/>\nLead the team of engineers for supervision of maintenance and timely completion of maintenance activity.<br \/>\nTo ensure the standard of quality standard are followed during maintenance work.<br \/>\nPlanning and implementing preventive &amp; breakdown maintenance schedule of mechanical equipment\u2019s for improving overall reliability and safety of machinery.<br \/>\nConducting failure investigation and take corrective action to reduce equipment down time and maximum availability for plant operation.<br \/>\nAllocation of manpower planning for daily monitoring, breakdown and shutdown works<br \/>\nPreparing and maintaining check list.<br \/>\nPreparation &amp; maintain that spare inventory for smooth operation of cement production.<br \/>\nResponsible for ensuring that plant equipments are in safe operating condition by conducting routine maintenance and scheduling needed repairs. SAP system for MM and PM module.<br \/>\nInvolving upgradation and modification of existing system for smooth operation of cement production.<br \/>\nResponsible for ensuring that plant equipments are in safe operating condition by conducting routine maintenance and scheduling needed repairs SAP system for MM and PM module.<br \/>\nPerform any other related jobs as assigned by Section Head or Head of Department<br \/>\nAcademic qualification, Experience and Skills<br \/>\nBachelor of Mechanical Engineering or any related field<br \/>\nAt least 8 years of experience in Mechanical Maintenance, preferably Cement plant experience.<br \/>\nSAP experience<br \/>\nGood incident analysis skill<br \/>\nGood knowledge of safety legislation and rules<br \/>\nGood oral and written communication skill<br \/>\nSupervisory skill<br \/>\nInnovation &amp; Creativity<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
