The position
\nCOMMUNICATION OFFICER (1 POSITION) \u2013 MAIN HOSPITAL
\nREPORTING TO THE PROJECT LEAD
\nPOSITION SUMMARY
\nDevelop and implement clear, impactful internal and external communication strategies to enhance visibility, manage brand reputation, and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms in Tanzania, Mombasa, and Kisumu.<\/p>\n

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Manage newsletters, email updates, intranet, and staff communications.
\nPromote positive workplace culture through targeted campaigns.
\nCreate and execute plans to promote organizational achievements.
\nDraft press releases, social media content, blogs, and newsletters.
\nSocial media platforms (Facebook, Twitter\/X, LinkedIn, Instagram).
\nRespond to media requests, develop media kits, and coordinate interviews.
\nMonitor media coverage and prepare reports.
\nEnsure all materials follow branding guidelines.
\nSupport marketing campaigns with visuals, videos, and written stories.
\nWork closely with AKHS,EA marketing teams for content development and monitoring social media
\nBuild relationships with media, donors, government, community leaders, and partners.
\nOrganize events and stakeholder meetings as needed.
\nAssist in developing crisis messaging protocols.
\nSupport timely communication during emergencies.
\nTrack communication performance (engagement, reach).
\nPrepare regular reports with insights and improvement suggestions.
\nConduct audience surverys\/ feedback
\nAny other roles assigned by the supervisor or his\/her designee.<\/p>\n

Minimum degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, Marketing or related field
\nMinimum\u00a03 years working experience in media\/public relations or digital communication role
\nProven experience managing social media and content creation
\nExcellent writting, editing and verbal skills.<\/p>\n
