Perched on a series of elevated platforms and walkways, our Lodge sits next to an animal watering hole, where you can watch a family of elephants stop for their morning drink. Nestled in the heart of Central Serengeti amid wide-open plains, our Lodge is just a 45-minute drive from the Seronera Airstrip, accessible by connecting flights from three main airports within Tanzania. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<\/p>\n
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.<\/p>\n
Source reliable suppliers and negotiate contracts, prices, and terms.<\/p>\n
Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.<\/p>\n
Maintain\u00a0accurate\u00a0procurement records and reports.<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with national procurement laws and internal procedures.<\/p>\n
Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships.<\/p>\n
Liaise with internal departments to\u00a0determine\u00a0procurement needs.<\/p>\n
Manage inventory levels and ensure\u00a0timely\u00a0delivery of goods and services.<\/p>\n
Participate in tendering processes and bid evaluations.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ensure that the department works closely with the Operational Departments to circulate inventory and\u00a0maintain\u00a0a good balance of par stocks and on-hand inventory balance.<\/p>\n
Assist\u00a0to alert Purchasing on slow moving and dead stocks.<\/p>\n
Participate in the annual circulating Operating Equipment inventory and\u00a0assist\u00a0in\u00a0review\u00a0and reconciling\u00a0the discrepancies.<\/p>\n
Stringent checks on product shelf life and expiry dates.<\/p>\n
Support the Hotel\u2019s Safety Committee and Green initiatives.<\/p>\n

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Education:\u00a0\u2022\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s\u00a0degree in Procurement, Supply Chain\u00a0Management,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Business Administration, or related\u00a0field.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Professional certification (e.g., CPSP, CIPS) is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Experience:\u00a0At least\u00a0two\u00a0years\u00a0full-time employment in a similar\u00a0position,\u00a0or\u00a0in\u00a0the hospitality industry.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Skills and\u00a0Abilities:\u00a0Solid knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Proficiency\u00a0in MS Office and procurement software\/systems.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.<\/p>\n
