\nResponsibilities\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all employees.
\nMaintaining, repairing electrical issues, diagnostics \/ Fault Finding and routine inspection on a variety of\u00a0Remote systems\u00a0(I.e. SANDVIK\u00a0and RCT) and UG Machines.(I.e. SANDVIK\u00a0and CAT)
\nCoordinate activities in the unit and report back to Mobile Automation Foreman.
\nEnsure that mobile equipment is maintained in a safe and cost-effective manner.
\nMaintain the underground mines mobile equipment fleet.
\nEnsure safe working practices and Hazard identification principles and processes are observed by subordinates.
\nDemonstrate commitment to safe work practices by example and act immediately on any unsafe act or situation observed and monitor standards.
\nFull compliance with the\u00a0OEM repair procedures and all safety and training protocols.
\nAttend all training module within the auto electrical and maintenance skills matrix program.
\nMonitor mine underground auto electrical activities and eliminate any wasteful practices, ensuring agreed target for maintenance are met.
\nSupport and work through the departmental tactical plans to achieve the overall business objective.
\nMaintain equipment component change outs and rebuilds where necessary.<\/p>\n
Implement latest technology that will improve auto electrical works.<\/p>\n
Expertise in troubleshooting software and hardware issues on remote systems<\/p>\n
Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking, and software applications<\/p>\n
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.<\/p>\n
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical customers.<\/p>\n
Qualification requirements<\/p>\n
A relevant trade qualification in mechanical or Technician Certificate from a recognized institution.<\/p>\n
A Mechanical Trade Certification is highly desired<\/p>\n
Experience and Competencies needed.<\/p>\n
Minimum of 5 years\u2019 Artisanal experience in\u00a0mine auto electrical maintenance role.
\nGood working knowledge of auto electrical maintenance planning\/scheduling.\u00a0
\nExperienced in maintenance practices and techniques.
\nExperience in large underground mining operation.
\nWell-developed oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to interact with People of diverse cultures and levels.\u00a0
\nStrong Safety Background and ability to drive a safe working environment and practices.
\nExcellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
\nComputer skills \u2013MS Excel, Access, Word.
\nHazard Identification & Risk Assessment.
\nDriving ability.<\/p>\n
