Job Purpose:
\nResponsible for leading the bank\u2019s investor relations and sustainability strategy, ensuring transparent communication with shareholders, analysts, and other stakeholders, while integrating Sustainability Principles into the bank\u2019s Strategy, operations and long-term value creation.<\/p>\n
Main Responsibilities:
\nInvestor Relations Framework and Strategic Planning<\/p>\n
Develop all the appropriate policies and guidelines for transforming the function into a \u201cbest-in-class\u201d function
\nSafeguard investor confidence, enhance corporate reputation, and align the bank\u2019s sustainability initiatives with business growth and regulatory expectations.
\nDevelop and define the Investor Relations (IR) strategy and support the execution of the annual operating plan (IR calendar).
\nPlan for and lead any \u201cgo to the market\u201d initiatives the Bank may choose to use for purposes of raising additional equity\/funding for the Bank.
\nFinancial Communication
\nWork closely with Finance and Corporate Communications to ensure accurate, timely dissemination of financial results.
\nDevelop Questions and Answers (Q & A) scripts, press releases, and executive speeches for financial announcements.
\nSupport the CEO, CFO, and Board in articulating the bank\u2019s financial and strategic story to the market.
\nRelationship Management of Broader Investment Community
\nIdentify, cultivate, and manage existing and potential buy-side and sell-side relationships including with analysts, credit rating agencies, and investors to effectively articulate the bank\u2019s growth strategy and unique investment proposition in order to positively influence the market perception of the bank.
\nEngage with investors, Analysts, and other key stakeholders through regular calls, \u201croad shows\u201d, and attendance at investor conferences and meetings (domestically and internationally) to keep the investment community abreast of the bank\u2019s performance and key strategic developments.
\nServe as co-key-point-of-contact to investors, research analysts, and credit rating agencies through day-to-day management\/handling of queries.
\nCommunication and Disclosure
\nCreate value-driving messages to clearly and accurately communicate the bank\u2019s unique investment value proposition to the broader investment community and stakeholders in order to enhance relations.
\nEnsure consistency in the bank\u2019s external investor communications and disclosures by appropriately shaping and leading the bank\u2019s performance narrative for quarterly results calls presentations, investor presentations, press releases, announcements, call scripts and talking points, Annual Report, Investor Relations website, and other documents relevant to the broader investment community.
\nDevelop internal and external executive reporting documents including for board, investor monitoring requirements, and other relevant management presentations.
\nSupport the senior management with research and information requested for their reports and presentations.
\nMonitoring the Market
\nProvide regular feedback to the bank\u2019s senior management and other key stakeholders on investment\/analyst community perceptions and sentiments of the bank, key market developments, and any relevant concerns.
\nMonitor analyst reports and summarize them for senior management.
\nEvaluate NMB and relevant competitors from an investment and strategic perspective, examining both quantitative and qualitative factors.
\nSustainability Strategy & Governance
\nPreparation of the Bank\u2019s annual sustainability report based on prescribed reporting standards.
\nEstablish a realistic sustainability roadmap and define clear policies and guidelines to meet the company\u2019s ESG and sustainability objectives.
\nMonitor organizational measurement indicators as well as communication efforts and progress to management and the Board
\nAddress opportunities across the organization by leading corporate sustainability initiatives and strategies
\nDevelop annual and long-term sustainable development goals and setting science-based targets
\nEstablish sustainability reporting processes.
\nEnsure processes are in place to maintain ESG and Climate risk compliance with all applicable legislation, license conditions, and international environmental standards.
\nEngage with the broader sustainability community to build partnerships and share best practices.
\nAdvising and sharing expertise with stakeholders across the company
\nImplementing strategic partnerships and programs for the Bank to support its Sustainability and Climate ambitions.
\nProvide a coordination role in working across all parts of our Bank.
\nDevelop effective relationships with our external consultants and solution providers who support us in the Bank\u2019s sustainability agenda.
\nProvide timely expert advice to the business including the Audit, Risk Management and Sustainability Committee, the Board and the Executive on sustainability matters, including leading practice, emerging issues, and benchmarking.
\nReporting & Compliance
\nEnsure compliance with regulatory and disclosure requirements of capital markets and financial regulators.
\nMaintain a robust investor database and reporting framework for executive insights.
\nOversee data collection, verification, and publication of sustainability performance indicators.
\nCoordinate with internal audit, compliance, and risk teams to ensure the integrity of ESG data and disclosures
\nStakeholder Engagement
\nBuild and maintain relationships with institutional investors, analysts, regulators, and sustainability partners.
\nRepresent the bank in ESG forums, investor conferences, and sustainability networks.
\nManage the bank\u2019s participation in ESG ratings and indices (e.g., MSCI, Sustainalytics).
\nCollaborate with Corporate Affairs to ensure consistent communication across investor and sustainability narratives.<\/p>\n
Knowledge and Skills:<\/p>\n
Banking and financial services operations and regulations.
\nCapital markets and stock exchange disclosure requirements.
\nESG frameworks and reporting standards (GRI, TCFD, SASB, ISSB).
\nUnderstanding of Sustainability trends in the financial sector (green bonds, climate finance, financial inclusion).
\nCorporate governance and stakeholder communication principles.
\nStrong interpersonal skills and an excellent ability to communicate (written, verbally).
\nDemonstrable problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills; strategic and creative thinking.
\nAbility to interact with senior officials of banks, capital markets, stock exchange, large\/institutional investors, and the government.
\nDemonstrated leadership capabilities, including ability to organize and manage teams from diverse backgrounds to attain goals.
\nStrong command of MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
\nDeep understanding of the Guidelines on Climate-Related Financial Risks
\nFinancial Reporting in line with TFRS1 and other guiding standards.
\nTechnical knowledge of financial disclosure in line with IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (IFRS S1)
\nStrong financial literacy and analytical skills
\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
\nStrategic thinking and business insights.
\nDeep understanding of ESG frameworks and sustainable finance trends.
\nStrong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
\nHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
\nAbility to influence at Board and Executive levels.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Accounting, Sustainability Management or related fields.
\nMaster\u2019s degree is an added advantage
\nCertificate of Proficiency in Industrial Relations, Sustainability will be an added advantage
\nMinimum 7 years\u2019 experience in Strategy, Investor Relations, and Sustainability with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
\nProven experience in banking, financial services, or highly regulated sectors.
\nDemonstrated success in managing Investor Relations for a Listed Entity
\nExperience in financial reporting and analysis, preferably in sustainability reporting.
