Communications And Corporate Affairs at NMB Bank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Location :<br \/>\nHead Office<\/p>\n<p>Job Purpose:<br \/>\nResponsible for developing and executing the bank\u2019s communication, reputation management, stakeholder engagement, and corporate social responsibility strategies.<\/p>\n<p>Main Responsibilities:<br \/>\nStrategic Communications<\/p>\n<p>Ensure that the bank\u2019s brand, image, and relationships with internal and external stakeholders are managed effectively to support its strategic objectives, customer trust, and market leadership.<br \/>\nDevelop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with the bank\u2019s vision, mission, and business goals.<br \/>\nOversee all internal and external communication channels \u2014 media, digital, and executive communication.<br \/>\nEnsure brand consistency and adherence to corporate identity standards across all platforms and subsidiaries.<br \/>\nAdvise executive management on communication risks and opportunities.<br \/>\nCorporate Affairs &amp; Stakeholder Management<br \/>\nBuild and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, government agencies, investors, and industry associations.<br \/>\nManage corporate reputation through proactive engagement, transparency, and timely communication.<br \/>\nMonitor public policy trends affecting the banking sector and provide strategic guidance to management.<br \/>\nCoordinate responses to issues of public interest, ensuring the bank\u2019s position is well represented.<br \/>\nMedia Relations &amp; Crisis Communication<br \/>\nServe as the primary spokesperson for the bank on strategic and reputational matters.<br \/>\nCultivate strong media relationships and manage press interactions, interviews, and press releases.<br \/>\nLead crisis communication planning and execution to protect the bank\u2019s reputation.<br \/>\nMonitor media coverage and provide insights and recommendations to the Executive Committee.<br \/>\nCorporate Social Investment (CSI) &amp; Corporate Sustainability<br \/>\nDesign and implement CSI and sustainability strategies that align with the bank\u2019s values and community priorities.<br \/>\nManage partnerships and programs that strengthen the bank\u2019s social and environmental impact.<br \/>\nTrack and report CSI outcomes and sustainability indicators.<br \/>\nInternal Communication<br \/>\nDrive employee engagement through consistent, transparent internal communications.<br \/>\nSupport leadership visibility and alignment on key business messages.<br \/>\nManage internal campaigns to reinforce organizational culture, mission, and values.<br \/>\nBrand &amp; Reputation Management<br \/>\nOversee the bank\u2019s brand positioning and ensure it reflects innovation, trust, and customer focus.<br \/>\nConduct periodic brand audits and stakeholder perception surveys.<br \/>\nManage sponsorships, events, and thought leadership initiatives that enhance visibility.<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge and Skills:<\/p>\n<p>Understanding of banking operations \u2014 retail, corporate, investment, and digital banking.<br \/>\nAwareness of financial performance metrics, investor relations, and capital markets communication.<br \/>\nKnowledge of banking risks and reputation sensitivity, including data privacy, compliance, and consumer trust.<br \/>\nPrinciples of strategic communication planning and message development.<br \/>\nDeep knowledge of media landscape \u2014 traditional, digital and media engagement best practices.<br \/>\nUnderstanding of stakeholder mapping and influence strategies \u2014 from policymakers to community leaders.<br \/>\nKnowledge of organizational communication frameworks that drive employee engagement.<br \/>\nKnowledge of disclosure standards for publicly listed or regulated entities.<br \/>\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills.<br \/>\nStrategic thinker with strong business and political acumen.<br \/>\nStrong media relations and storytelling ability.<br \/>\nSkilled in crisis management and issue resolution.<br \/>\nExcellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.<br \/>\nAbility to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.<br \/>\nDigital communication proficiency (social media, web, content strategy).<br \/>\nIntegrity, discretion, and sound judgment<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Law, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.<br \/>\nMaster\u2019s degree is an added advantage<br \/>\nCertificate of Proficiency in Corporate Communication will also be an added advantage<br \/>\nMinimum 7 years\u2019 experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or reputation management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.<br \/>\nProven experience in banking, financial services, or highly regulated sectors.<br \/>\nDemonstrated success in managing strategic communication and stakeholder relations<br \/>\nNMB Bank Plc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
