The Union is domiciled and operates in Bariadi District, Simiyu Region.<br \/>\nAbout Us<br \/>\nOur vision is to become a strong Cooperative Union that provides effective supervision and management skills to its primary cooperative societies and improves the economic standards of farmers in the Simiyu Region.<br \/>\nPOSITION: CHIEF ACCOUNTANT (1 POST)<br \/>\nNature and Scope:<br \/>\nThe successful candidate will report functionally to the Board of Directors and administratively to the General Manager. He\/she will serve as the Head of the Accounting and Finance Department of Simiyu Cooperative Union (2018) Ltd.<br \/>\nDuties and Responsibilities<br \/>\nManage the Accounting Department and monitor financial reports on a daily basis.<br \/>\nEnsure accurate preparation and proper maintenance of accounting records.<br \/>\nCoordinate the budgeting process, including the preparation of regular financial reports for the Board.<br \/>\nEnsure that all statutory returns are prepared and submitted on time.<br \/>\nEnsure that all payments made by the Union comply with tax regulations (VAT, Corporate Tax, PAYE, Withholding Taxes, etc.).<br \/>\nPrepare timely quarterly and annual financial statements.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with accounting standards and internal control procedures.<br \/>\nPrepare and submit management and internal control reports to the Board.<br \/>\nRespond to audit queries in collaboration with the management team.<br \/>\nPerform any other related duties as may be assigned by the General Manager.<br \/>\nQualifications, Knowledge, and Experience<br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or Business Administration.<br \/>\nMust be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-T) or hold an equivalent qualification such as ACCA or CFA, registered by NBAA.<br \/>\nMinimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management from a reputable organization.<br \/>\nProficiency in ICT-based accounting systems and financial software.<br \/>\nRemuneration<br \/>\nSalary will be offered according to the SIMCU (2018) Ltd Salary Scale.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
