\nGeita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML) is Tanzania\u2019s leading gold producer with a single operation in Geita Region. The company is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, an international gold producer headquartered in South Africa, with operations in more than ten countries, in four continents. The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, only about 85 km\u2019s from Mwanza City and 20 km\u2019s Southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. \nPURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
\nTo lead and manage daily warehouse operations with focus on efficiency, accuracy, and safety to ensure user satisfaction include overseeing staff, optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory control, ensuring compliance, coordinating with other departments or sections, and improving processes- all while acting as a vital link between staff and management.
\nQUALIFICATIONS:
\nBachelor\u2019s degree or Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain management, materials Management or its equivalent.
\nShould be registered with Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board \u2013 PSPTB.
\nEXPERIENCE:
\nMinimum of 5 years working experience in Warehouse and Logistics in Mining industry or large-scale industries.
\nExperience with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System, preferably SAP system.
\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
\nStrong leadership and team management skills.
\nEffective delegation and workload management.
\nConflict resolution and problem \u2013 solving abilities.
\nBuildings collaboration and teamwork across departments.
\nStrong oral and written communication skills.
\nMAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
\nManaging processing time on Orders received, timely GRN and timely forwarding of items to Satellite Warehouse.
\nControlling Containers and Demurrage charges (reduce container demurrage \/ detention costs) by making sure container do not spend more than 7 days at site.
\nExpediting Consignment delivery against outstanding purchase orders.
\nManage team members (plan work) lead team, organize the work and labour, control compliance to targets and take corrective actions when targets not achieved.
\nEnsuring cost impact in areas of accountability are evaluated, approved and budget is revised.
\nResolving routine equipment issues.
\nEnsure that equipment\u2019s are always in good condition and serviceable.
\nEnsure that tools for warehouse uses are always in safe condition and are used properly.
\nEnforces to the unit an operating instruction on Safety and Environmental policies.
\nControlling Manual Receiving, Staging and Binning of materials at satellite Warehouse.
\nAttend\/conduct weekly\/biweekly meetings with end user departments\/internally and on time execution of agreed actions.
\nSafety improvements in Warehouses and Environmental control [Comply to HSE Policy & Procedures].
\nDevising a safe work performance for a team, stopping any unsafe work, issuing safety related instructions to subordinates and initiating action against team members for his\/her role in unsafe behavior.
\nManage returns to stock.
\nGenerating required reports and statistics daily, weekly and monthly.
\nHaving knowledge on logistics, expediting, transportation, shipping, receiving and forwarding and traffic management.
\nStrategically plan to maintain safe and efficient warehouse receiving and issuing operations.
\nAn excellent service delivery to customers.
\nMitigating non-conform supplies on the business by identifying substandard deliveries and timely implementing of instructions based on recommendations from Materials Engineering team.
\nSupervising and performing accurately Cycle Counting and Annual Stock Take.
