We are seeking a Workshop Operations Coordinator who is responsible for ensuring smooth coordination between the Safari Operations Department, Mechanics, and Body Workshop teams to guarantee that all safari vehicles are properly maintained, repaired, and prepared on time before each safari departure. This role ensures operational efficiency, effective communication, and readiness of vehicles to meet company and client standards.

\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Vehicle Maintenance Coordination<\/p>\n
Monitor and track the maintenance schedule of all safari vehicles.
\nCoordinate with Mechanics and Body Workshop teams to prioritize repairs and servicing based on safari schedules.
\nEnsure all maintenance and repair work is completed within the set timelines and standards.
\nMaintain detailed records of vehicle service history, repairs, and spare parts usage.<\/p>\n
Safari Preparation Support<\/p>\n
Liaise with the Safari Operations Department to confirm vehicle allocation for upcoming safaris.
\nVerify that each vehicle is properly cleaned, fueled, and equipped with required tools, spares, and first aid kits before departure.
\nEnsure vehicles meet safety and quality standards before release.<\/p>\n
Communication and Reporting<\/p>\n
Serve as the communication link between Operations, Mechanics, and Body Workshop departments.
\nProvide daily and weekly updates on vehicle readiness, pending repairs, and downtime to the Operations Manager.
\nReport any delays, challenges, or resource needs affecting operational efficiency.<\/p>\n
Documentation and Compliance<\/p>\n
Keep accurate logs of vehicle movements, work orders, and maintenance reports.
\nEnsure all vehicles have valid insurance, licenses, and regulatory compliance documents.
\nSupport in maintaining updated fleet and maintenance databases.<\/p>\n
Operational Efficiency<\/p>\n
Assist in developing and implementing vehicle maintenance and repair schedules.
\nRecommend process improvements to reduce vehicle downtime.
\nSupport the procurement team in identifying and following up on parts and materials needs for vehicle maintenance.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Diploma or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
\nMinimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in fleet coordination, tour operations, or a similar environment.
\nKnowledge of vehicle mechanics and safari logistics will be an added advantage.
\nStrong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).<\/p>\n
