\nThe\u00a0Real Transformation Initiative (RTI) \u2013 Tanzania\u00a0is a nonprofit, non-governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to providing research and programme implementation services to\u00a0 local partners, government agencies, and international organizations for health impact.\u00a0 Headquartered in Mwanza, RTI-Tanzania works nationwide to improve the lives of marginalized communities. Known for its expertise across sectors, the NGO is committed to advancing social,\u00a0 economic, and health outcomes for children, youth, and women. Through high-quality research,\u00a0 RTI-Tanzania delivers real, evidence-based solutions that promote sustainable and\u00a0 transformative change to individuals and communities.
\nRTI-Tanzania is embarking on the second phase of the, \u201cCARING SCHOOLS PROJECT\u201d,\u00a0which\u00a0 will collect data to validate measurements on how school environments influence youth mental\u00a0 health trajectories in Mwanza, Tanzania. The organisation has also secured funding for a new\u00a0 project, \u201cParenting for Early Years Project\u201d, which focuses on Parenting for children aged 0\u20133\u00a0 years.<\/p>\n
To ensure the successful implementation of these research initiatives, RTI-Tanzania invites\u00a0 qualified and highly motivated individuals to apply for the following positions:
\nDATA COLLECTORS\u00a0(15 Posts)\u00a0
\nREPORTING TO:\u00a0Project Manager
\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Data collection in the field.
\nConduct qualitative and quantitative data collection.
\nTranscription and translation of data and study materials.
\nParticipate in the analysis of qualitative data e.g. coding of data.
\nWrite of field reports.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCE:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
A degree in Early Child Development, Education Psychology, Social Sciences, Health\u00a0 Sciences, or a related field
\nExperience conducting field research and preferably qualitative research
\nReport-writing skills.
\nExcellent written and oral communication skills in Swahili and English.
\nCommitment to working as part of a multidisciplinary research team.
\nAbility to work in a multicultural environment.
\nExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.<\/p>\n
DESIRABLE CRITERIA FOR SELECTION\u00a0<\/p>\n
Experience working in rural and communities with low illiteracy.
\nAbility to communicate in Kiswahili.<\/p>\n
TERMS OF SERVICE:\u00a0Six-month contract with the possibility of renewal based on performance\u00a0 and funding availability.
\nDUTY STATION:\u00a0The successful candidate will report to the RTI-Tanzania offices in Mwanza but\u00a0 will spend their time in the data collection sites.
