On 19\/07\/2019, the organization was officially registered as Non- Governmental Organization with registration number NGO\/R2\/000145. MACCO works in the general area of biodiversity conservation with a focus on the Udzungwa Mountains of Tanzania and through a range of projects spanning from biodiversity research, monitoring and community conservation.<br \/>\nMACCO is seeking a Human Resources and Administration Manager. The candidate will primarily be responsible of leading and managing all aspects of Administration and Human Resources for MACCO. This role is critical in ensuring the effective functioning of the workforce, maintaining compliance with labor laws and regulations, and supporting the overall organization\u2019s strategy.<br \/>\nDuties and responsibilities:<br \/>\nAdministration (50%):<\/p>\n<p>Manage office administration, including stationery purchasing, facilities maintenance, vehicles and motorbikes use, and vendor contracts.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.<br \/>\nManage office security and safety. Keep OSHA annual certification up to date<br \/>\nSupport the organization with grants-related tasks and projects, specifically, oversee financial reporting, audits, and donor compliance requirements.<br \/>\nSupport the CEO with the administrative management of grants contracts and other sub- agreements as applicable\/needed.<br \/>\nSupervise the Finance Officer and provide support and guidance to ensure efficient processing of finance-related tasks. Support the finance team with the payroll review.<br \/>\nDevelop and implement performance evaluation systems\u00a0to regularly assess staff effectiveness and productivity in alignment with organizational goals.<br \/>\nHandle communications with partners, stakeholders and government officials and filing system\u00a0(physical and\/or digital) for all incoming and outgoing official letters and documents, ensuring timely tracking, retrieval, and confidentiality.<br \/>\nDraft, review, and edit official letters, memos, meeting invitations, and responses\u00a0to ensure they meet the organization\u2019s standards for clarity, professionalism, and accuracy.<\/p>\n<p>Human Resources (50%):<\/p>\n<p>Implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures as outlined in the existing manual. Suggest improvements and\/or updates where needed<br \/>\nFacilitate job analysis and update job descriptions as needed\/required.<br \/>\nManage recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes. Support managers and oversee staff performance management, including appraisals, capacity building, and staff development Manage employee relations, addressing concerns and grievances.<br \/>\nAdminister employee benefits and lead the enrolling process of new employees in NSSF and NHIF<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with labor law and other applicable regulations<br \/>\nMaintain HR (including non-personnel) files; track and compile the staff leave schedules, setting up all staff absence by receiving and filing annual leave authorizations, performing the functions of absence monitoring and recording; advise staff on their leave entitlements.<br \/>\nPrepare an annual HR plan that will include an analysis of the staff current workload, current and future HR needs, strategies for addressing the identified needs (current\/future).<\/p>\n<p>Required qualifications, experience, and qualities:<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree and 6 years of experience or master\u2019s degree and 4 years of experience in human resources, business administration, or related field.<br \/>\nMust be familiar with Tanzanian laws and regulations governing Human Resources.<br \/>\nAbility to work with managers to assess complex issues pragmatically.<br \/>\nAbility to define problems, establish facts, analyze situations and make decisions.<br \/>\nExcellent written and verbal English and Swahili.<br \/>\nAbility to interact with and lead employees at various levels.<br \/>\nStrong understanding of confidentiality as it relates to Human Resources.<br \/>\nProficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.<br \/>\nExcellent organizational and multitasking abilities.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
