Brand Strategy, Advertising and Promotion at NMB Bank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senior Manager; Brand Strategy, Advertising and Promotion (1 Position(s))<\/p>\n<p>Job Location :<br \/>\nHead Office<\/p>\n<p>Job Purpose:<br \/>\nResponsible for leading the strategic management, development, and execution of NMB Bank\u2019s brand, media, promotions, and advertising initiatives, ensuring consistent brand positioning, effective media presence, and impactful marketing communication that supports business growth and strengthens the bank\u2019s leadership in the market.<\/p>\n<p>Main Responsibilities:<br \/>\nBrand Strategy &amp; Management<\/p>\n<p>Responsible for driving brand visibility, strengthening customer perception, and ensuring that all marketing communications align with the bank\u2019s values, products, and strategic priorities.<br \/>\nResponsible for safeguarding brand equity, driving brand health, optimizing media investment, and ensuring all promotional and advertising activities align with NMB\u2019s strategic objectives and corporate values.<br \/>\nLead the development, implementation, and periodic review of NMB\u2019s brand strategy to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and market dynamics.<br \/>\nOversee the consistent application of the NMB master brand and its sub-brands across all touchpoints, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and visual identity standards.<br \/>\nManage and monitor brand performance through regular brand health tracking, customer insights, and brand valuation exercises, in collaboration with external partners or agencies<br \/>\nSupport cross-functional teams in embedding brand principles into product development, customer experience, and internal culture.<br \/>\nMedia Strategy, Planning &amp; Optimization<br \/>\nSupport the development and execution of the bank\u2019s annual media strategy across Above the Line (ATL), Below the Line (BTL), digital, and sponsorship channels to achieve optimal visibility and reach target audiences.<br \/>\nProvide strategic input and brand-aligned guidance, ensuring that media decisions strengthen overall brand positioning and campaign effectiveness.<br \/>\nCollaborate with internal and\/or external partners responsible for media planning, buying, and performance reporting.<br \/>\nManage agency relationships to ensure quality delivery, innovation, and compliance with the bank\u2019s marketing and communication policies.<br \/>\nGuide the evaluation of campaign performance and media effectiveness using data-driven insights to inform continuous improvement.<br \/>\nGuide media planning and oversight<br \/>\nPromotions &amp; Campaign Management<br \/>\nOversee the planning and execution of promotional and tactical marketing campaigns to drive product uptake, enhance customer engagement, and support business objectives.<br \/>\nEnsure all promotions and activations comply with regulatory requirements and internal approval processes.<br \/>\nCoordinate with internal stakeholders and business units to develop targeted campaign calendars aligned with business priorities and customer needs<br \/>\nAdvertising &amp; Creative Oversight<br \/>\nProvide strategic leadership in the development of advertising campaigns, from creative briefing to production and deployment.<br \/>\nEnsure advertising messages are compelling, consistent with brand positioning, and reflect NMB\u2019s purpose and values.<br \/>\nOversee agency and production partners to maintain quality, timeliness, and brand integrity across all deliverables.<br \/>\nEvaluate advertising effectiveness and provide insights and recommendations for future campaigns.<br \/>\nPlanning, Budgeting &amp; Reporting<br \/>\nContribute to the development of the annual marketing and communications plan, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.<br \/>\nSupport the Head; Brand &amp; Marketing in managing brand, media, and promotional budgets, ensuring prudent use of resources and effective ROI tracking.<br \/>\nIn collaboration with third-party research and analytics partners, prepare periodic reports and dashboards on campaign performance, brand health, and media effectiveness for senior management.<br \/>\nPrepare technical reports such as brand valuation, brand health studies, with collaboration with specialized agencies.<br \/>\nLeadership &amp; Stakeholder Management<br \/>\nLead and mentor a team of brand, media, and promotions professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and accountability.<br \/>\nCollaborate closely with business units, digital, retail, and product teams to ensure marketing initiatives support commercial goals.<br \/>\nMaintain strong working relationships with agencies, media houses, regulatory bodies, and key external partners.<br \/>\nChampion brand governance across the bank, ensuring internal alignment and adherence to communication standards.<br \/>\nDrive strong management of the NMB website ensuring value generation and brand presence through the channel.<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge and Skills:<\/p>\n<p>Banking and financial products, services, and customer segments.<br \/>\nBrand management principles and lifecycle strategy.<br \/>\nStrong understanding of banking products, customer segments, and distribution channels (retail, SME, corporate, digital).<br \/>\nAdvertising and media planning processes (traditional and digital).<br \/>\nRegulatory and ethical guidelines for marketing in financial services.<br \/>\nStrategic and creative thinker with strong commercial acumen.<br \/>\nExcellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.<br \/>\nDeep understanding of brand architecture, positioning, and identity systems.<br \/>\nStrong analytical and project management skills.<br \/>\nProficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics, and media management.<br \/>\nAbility to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.<br \/>\nIntegrity, initiative, and results orientation<br \/>\nFamiliarity with digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.) to evaluate performance and audience engagement.<br \/>\nProven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple projects simultaneously.<br \/>\nEvidence of successful brand growth, campaign performance, and customer engagement improvements under previous roles.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Marketing, Communications, Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.<br \/>\nProfessional certification in Marketing (CIM, AMA, or equivalent) is an added advantage<br \/>\nMaster\u2019s degree (MBA or MA in Marketing\/Brand Management) is an added advantage<br \/>\nMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in Marketing, Brand Management, or Communications, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.<br \/>\nProven experience managing large-scale brand campaigns and multi-channel marketing initiatives.<br \/>\nExperience in agency management and budget oversight.<br \/>\nExperience developing campaigns that comply with financial advertising and regulatory standards.<br \/>\nExperience optimizing return on marketing investment (ROMI) through data-driven decision-making.<br \/>\nDemonstrated experience in measuring and reporting marketing ROI, brand equity, and media efficiency.<br \/>\nNMB Bank Plc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
