With Alistair\u2019s aggressive and exciting growth strategy, the Group is poised for significant further expansion and a greater impact in Africa.<br \/>\nCore Services:<br \/>\n\u25cf Freight Forwarding<br \/>\n\u25cf Clearance &amp; Forwarding<br \/>\n\u25cf Energy Industry Support Services<br \/>\n\u25cf Equipment Rental<br \/>\n\u25cf Commodity Trading<br \/>\n\u25cf Integrated Solutions<br \/>\n\u25cf Warehousing<br \/>\n\u25cf Ocean Freight<br \/>\nIndustries:<br \/>\n\u25cf Mining<br \/>\n\u25cf Oil &amp; Gas<br \/>\n\u25cf Agriculture<br \/>\n\u25cf Construction<br \/>\n\u25cf Explosives<br \/>\n\u25cf Renewables<br \/>\nVISION<br \/>\nTo make Africa work better<br \/>\nCOMPANY BEHAVIOURS<br \/>\nHonesty, Customer Focus, Continual Improvement, Humility, and Safety.<br \/>\nACCOUNTABILITIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITY AREAS<br \/>\n\u25cf Oversee daily shunting operations from ICDs, warehouses, and customer premises to ensure seamless cargo flow.<br \/>\n\u25cf Ensure all truck movements, container uplifts, and deliveries follow the planned schedule and customer requirements.<br \/>\n\u25cf Coordinate and manage operational staff including loading supervisors, controllers, and on-site personnel.<br \/>\n\u25cf Ensure all Forms on Fire submissions, movement sheets, and loading details are captured accurately and on time.<br \/>\n\u25cf Guarantee operational readiness for all shifts, including adequate manpower, permits, and truck allocation.<br \/>\n\u25cf Ensure strict adherence to weight limits, documentation requirements, and warehouse\/port regulations.<br \/>\n\u25cf Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and continuous training for shunting staff and drivers.<br \/>\n\u25cf Address non compliance issues immediately and escalate safety breaches within the required timeframe.<br \/>\n\u25cf Track shunting turnaround times, job durations, delays, and resource utilisation daily.<br \/>\n\u25cf Reduce idle time and improve operational efficiency across all shunting channels.<br \/>\n\u25cf Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance dashboards.<br \/>\n\u25cf Ensure proper handover of truck statuses, including breakdowns, workshop movements, and readiness for deployment.<br \/>\n\u25cf Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure operational alignment for customer requirements, loading plans, and transporter scheduling.<br \/>\n\u25cf Ensure all movement sheets, interchanges, PODs, and supporting documents are submitted within timelines. \u25cf Validate documentation accuracy before submission to invoicing teams.<br \/>\n\u25cf Maintain a proper filing and digital record system for all shunting jobs.<br \/>\n\u25cf Resolve operational challenges immediately and escalate to the Head of Operations within 1 hour if unresolved.<br \/>\n\u25cf Provide clear problem diagnosis and recommended solutions for all escalations.<br \/>\n\u25cf Serve as the main operational contact for queries related to delays, truck status, and execution challenges.<br \/>\n\u25cf Identify gaps in processes, systems, and SOPs and propose improvements.<br \/>\n\u25cf Drive operational innovation to reduce costs, improve speed, and enhance accuracy.<br \/>\n\u25cf Participate actively in system enhancements, automation initiatives, and dashboard improvement efforts.<br \/>\nEDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS<br \/>\n\u25cf A minimum of University Graduate Degree in any relevant discipline or equivalent vocational experience in Transport \/ Logistics service support<br \/>\n\u25cf Excel skills<br \/>\n\u25cf Clear communication skills to ensure clear and candid information<br \/>\n\u25cf Strong management skills ensuring efficient use of resources<br \/>\n\u25cf Computer Literacy to effectively operate and manipulate online management systems<br \/>\n\u25cf Faultless administration skills ensuring accurate and efficient procedures<br \/>\nThe Company reserves the right to withdraw from the recruitment process at any time, at its sole discretion.
