\nResponsibilities\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and Barrick health, safety and environmental policies\u00a0and\u00a0procedures.<\/p>\n
Report on all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) issues via an incident report.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Daily maintenance Inspection and execution of UG Mobile Fleet Equipment.<\/p>\n
Ensure work completion details are finalized in accordance with work requirements and procedures.<\/p>\n
Ensure mechanical tools and equipment are maintained and stored in accordance with Barrick and OEM safety standards\/ procedures.<\/p>\n
Perform task risk assessments (JHA, FLRA).<\/p>\n
Ensure the Mobile fleet equipment operates within acceptable limits and deviations reported.<\/p>\n
Adhere to isolation and lock out permits procedures.<\/p>\n
Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances.<\/p>\n
Performs high quality, planned and unplanned repairs of any mechanical equipment in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety, and environment regulation.<\/p>\n
Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area, apply 5S principle.<\/p>\n
Attain and maintain relevant licenses and authorizations required to execute allocated duties e.g., Basic Rigging, Working at Heights, Machine Operation i.e., Forklift.<\/p>\n
Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment with welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools.<\/p>\n
Fabricate, weld, and install chutes, boxes, pipes, reducers, bends, and Y piece.<\/p>\n
Repair and maintain metal equipment and structures of various sizes.<\/p>\n
Read and interpret diagrams, sketches, and blueprints to determine operations, required materials and time frames for projects.<\/p>\n
Apply best maintenance practice on repair of chutes, steel tanks, pipes, and steel structures.<\/p>\n
Apply standard paint on new steel structure and any repair on steel works.<\/p>\n
Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify errors.<\/p>\n
Examine pressure vessels, tanks, chutes, pipes to locate defects such as leaks, weak spots, and defective sections so that they are repaired.<\/p>\n
Fabricate, fit, and assemble the structural components of various mechanical systems.<\/p>\n
Perform any task as instructed by report line supervisor.<\/p>\n
Perform basic mechanical fitting, rubber lining, scaffolding and rigging works as instructed by your supervisor.<\/p>\n
Clean equipment, using scrapers, wire brushes, and cleaning solvents to ensure equipment or work area remains clean and tidy.<\/p>\n
Clean, maintain, repair, and rebuild mechanical parts, components and equipment as directed by the Supervisor.<\/p>\n
Complete breakdown and preventive maintenance work orders on time, create subsequent notifications, and provide feedback on work performed.<\/p>\n
Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.<\/p>\n
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies then organize with supervisor.<\/p>\n
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.<\/p>\n
Responsible for shift handovers at area of responsibility.<\/p>\n
Qualification requirements<\/p>\n
Technical\/ Vocational School, Apprenticeship training, on-the-job training (FTC, VETA, IMTT Trade Test or its Equivalent).<\/p>\n
Sound knowledge of Mining Safety Regulations and best practice.<\/p>\n
Experience and competencies needed.<\/p>\n
Minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship experience working on Heavy Mobile Equipment in surface operations and underground<\/p>\n
Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment.<\/p>\n
Experience using multiple welding machines including the arc welder, TIG, and MIG.<\/p>\n
Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.<\/p>\n
Experience in open cast and Underground mining essential.<\/p>\n
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.<\/p>\n
Hazard identification and Risk assessment.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Understand technical drawings and manuals.<\/p>\n
VETA Driving Certificate.<\/p>\n
Possess a Valid Tanzanian driving license\u00a0<\/p>\n
Able to Drive Manual Transmission\/Stick Shift Transmission.<\/p>\n
Strong technical and strategic planning related experience and background.<\/p>\n
Ability to consistently manage such a diversified portfolio in a high-pressure environment.<\/p>\n
Highly professional conduct always and the ability to deal with a diverse client base.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Significant base knowledge of all the areas depicted in the profile.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Must be motivated individual with ability to operate with minimum supervision.<\/p>\n
