This role requires close engagement with community groups, Local Government Authorities (LGAs), and various stakeholders to strengthen gender equality efforts, drive inclusive participation (especially for women, youth, and people with disabilities), and ensure the timely, high-quality execution of all project initiatives at the grassroots level.<br \/>\n\u00a0Key Responsibilities<br \/>\nThe successful candidate will undertake the following:<\/p>\n<p>Actively participate in the day-to-day project activities within the assigned District.<br \/>\nProvide hands-on support to Grassroots Groups to ensure the timely and quality implementation of activities addressing identified Gender Equality issues in the field.<br \/>\nSupport the delivery of various project activities as required.<br \/>\nSupport the identification and establishment of grassroots groups.<br \/>\nPlay a major role in strengthening the stability and collaboration of Grassroots Groups.<br \/>\nMaintain excellent working relationships with Grassroots Groups, LGAs, AKF Tanzania (AKFT), community leaders, and other project stakeholders.<br \/>\nCreate and sustain synergy for collaboration and coordination at the district level to ensure optimum project performance and results realization.<br \/>\nSupport the assessment of training needs for grassroots groups.<br \/>\nPromote women\/gender mainstreaming, People with Disability (PWD) inclusiveness, and youth participation throughout the project lifecycle<br \/>\nSupport MERL activities, including carrying out field-level data collection.<br \/>\nSupport Community Groups in reporting on their project implementation progress.<br \/>\nSupport the establishment and implementation of monitoring and supervision mechanisms for project activities at the community level.<br \/>\nProvide timely, up-to-date information on the progress of project implementation at the community level.<br \/>\nPromptly flag any issues requiring immediate attention to the Project Manager.<br \/>\nSupport the coordination of field visits for project staff, donors, and delegates.<\/p>\n<p>The requirements<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Community Development, Social Studies, Gender, Development Studies or any other related field.<br \/>\nMinimum 3 years\u2019 experience working in the field to promote gender equality activities through engaging with grassroot groups, community and LGAs and other community structures and resources.<br \/>\nAt least two years\u2019 experience in working with Grassroot Groups, in implementation of gender equality focused activities.<br \/>\nAbility in designing community mobilization, sensitization and awareness raising activities for Gender equality.<br \/>\nAbility to effectively collect and use data.<br \/>\nGood written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize workload.<br \/>\nSelf-motivated, good organization and management skills.<br \/>\nAbility to work with multiple tasks, demands and deadlines, with a positive and constructive attitude under minimal supervision.<br \/>\nSelf-managed, able to work independently and within a team.<br \/>\nAbility and desire to engage with communities and to support grassroot groups to undertake their activities.<br \/>\nStrong interpersonal and team building skills.<br \/>\nExcellent verbal and written communication in English and Kiswahili.<br \/>\nComputer literate in MS Word, Excel and Power Point and other relevant applications.<br \/>\nSound understanding of and sensitivity to the cultural contexts in Dodoma, with the ability to adapt approaches accordingly.<br \/>\nGood knowledge and understanding of gender and social inclusion issues and experience of delivering programmes that explicitly address inequalities<br \/>\nGood knowledge and understanding of child and community safe-guarding issues<\/p>\n<p>AKF Is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is Committed to Safeguarding and Promoting the Welfare of Children and Vulnerable Adults and Expects all Staff and Partners to Share this Commitment<br \/>\nIf you are a motivated and committed professional eager to make a tangible impact on gender equality in the Dodoma region, we encourage you to apply.<br \/>\nQualified female candidates are highly encouraged to apply<br \/>\nOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
