Chief Technology Officer and Artificial Intelligence Officer
\nThe Chief Technology Officer and Artificial Intelligence Officer (CTA) will be responsible in shaping the AI and technology landscape of the newly established cooperative bank. It offers the opportunity to drive AI-driven digital inclusion solutions for underserved communities and contribute to Tanzania\u2019s digital finance vision for 2050.
\nReports to: CEO
\nKey areas of responsibilities include:
\nTechnology & AI Strategic Leadership:<\/p>\n
Develop and guide the bank\u2019s technology & AI roadmap to support digitalization and financial inclusion.
\nCreate AI-driven platforms for fraud detection, credit risk assessment, predictive maintenance, and customer service automation.
\nEstablish internal capabilities and a developer hub focused on AI\/ML and robotics.<\/p>\n
Infrastructure & Operational Excellence:<\/p>\n
Oversee technology infrastructure, including core banking, mobile\/web banking, and disaster recovery systems.
\nImplement IT service management frameworks and proactive monitoring systems.
\nLead integration with core banking systems and interbank networks.<\/p>\n
Cybersecurity & Risk Management:<\/p>\n
Design AI-based cybersecurity measures for threat detection and fraud prevention.
\nEnsure compliance with ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and national regulatory standards.<\/p>\n
Financial Inclusion & Agribusiness Development:<\/p>\n
Promote digital platforms for cooperatives and agribusiness stakeholders.
\nCollaborate on AI-driven credit models for digital lending and agricultural loans.
\nDevelop an Agribusiness App for data access and personalized credit facilities.<\/p>\n
Operational Efficiency & Automation:<\/p>\n
Enhance operational efficiency through automation and digital migration of back-office processes.<\/p>\n

\nRequired minimum qualifications:<\/p>\n
A holder of Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or related fields
\nMaster\u2019s degree in Artificial Intelligence or Data Science, MBA, MSc IT or equivalent
\nWorking experience of not less than 10 years of professional relevant experience in the banking\/financial services 5 of which must be in Senior Executive level with a proven track record of deploying AI\/ML solutions
\nProfessional certification: CISM, CISA, ITIL
\nKnowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and the Tanzanian digital finance ecosystem. Strong change management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
\nDeep understanding of the Tanzanian banking landscape especially in cooperative or microfinance.<\/p>\n
