\nPosition: Admin & Insurance Officer \u2013 01 Post
\nJob Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Manage and coordinate all administrative functions in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
\nOversee all insurance matters including assets, motor vehicles, medical, fidelity guarantee, and other operational insurance covers.
\nEnsure timely renewal, proper coverage, and accurate record keeping of all insurance policies.
\nHandle and follow up insurance claims from incident reporting to settlement.
\nLiaise with insurance companies, brokers, regulators, and service providers.
\nConduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate insurance and risk mitigation measures.
\nLead the development, rollout, and administration of microinsurance products (e.g., credit life, loan protection).<\/p>\n
Integrated into microfinance operations:<\/p>\n
Coordinate with Operations, Credit, Finance, and Procurement departments on insurance and administrative matters.
\nSupport procurement and asset management processes including documentation and insurance of institutional assets.
\nPrepare periodic administrative and insurance reports for management.
\nEnsure compliance with insurance laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
\nProvide basic insurance awareness and guidance to staff when required.<\/p>\n
Academic Qualification & Experience Requirements:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or any related field.
\nMinimum of 2-3 years\u2019 experience in insurance operations, preferably within microfinance institutions, banks, or financial institutions.
\nPractical knowledge of microinsurance products such as credit life, loan protection, or health-related insurance will be an added advantage.
\nGood understanding of insurance laws, regulations, and market practices in Tanzania.
\nStrong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
\nProficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
\nHigh level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.<\/p>\n
