{"id":3016,"date":"2025-12-30T10:00:59","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T10:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/job\/senior-relationship-manager-chinese-desk-at-nmb-bank\/"},"modified":"2026-03-25T00:50:12","modified_gmt":"2026-03-25T00:50:12","slug":"senior-relationship-manager-chinese-desk-at-nmb-bank","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/?post_type=job_listing&p=3016","title":{"rendered":"Senior Relationship Manager; Chinese Desk at NMB Bank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senior Relationship Manager; Chinese Desk (1 Position(s))<\/p>\n<p>Job Location :<br \/>\nHead Office<\/p>\n<p>Job Purpose:<br \/>\nTo develop, maintain and grow relationships with Asian Desk portfolio of corporate clients, while developing, improving, promoting, and selling NMBs products and services to ensure that NMBs current and future Corporate Customers find solutions for their financial needs.<\/p>\n<p>Main Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Develop and maintain close relationships with NMBs current, prospective, and future corporate clients under Asian Desk through communication, client visits, and other relationship building mechanisms.<br \/>\nFind solutions for customers\u2019 financial needs, including investment, borrowing and transactional banking solutions.<br \/>\nBenchmark NMBs products and services with those of the competitors in the market and identify strategies on how best to sell to the customers.<br \/>\nProactively involve the Senior bank executives in engagement with key corporate clients.<br \/>\nMonitor clients in the portfolio and keep records on the development of the clients\u2019 business.<br \/>\nPartner with the Product team and other internal staff to deliver clear accounts plan that is based on understanding of client needs and provide appropriate solutions for clients across relevant products.<br \/>\nManage the development of prudently priced assets, cost effective long-term liability with reputable companies and organizations.<br \/>\nMaintain a high quality of the asset book, ensure excellent performance and maximum returns of the portfolio.<br \/>\nAdhere to high professional standards and strive to provide quality services and competitive pricing to clients.<br \/>\nIdentify and develop a target pipeline and aggressively market for new profitable customers from the identified target sectors and exploit cross-selling opportunities.<br \/>\nGather information that is needed to prepare and assess credit applications.<br \/>\nProactively manage client portfolio under Asian Desk in compliance with regulatory environment.<br \/>\nMaintain high standard of operational controls including adherence to risk management and compliance guidelines.<br \/>\nEmbed NMB values and code of conduct by ensuring adherence to the highest standards of ethics with relevant policies, processes, and regulations.<br \/>\nConsult with staff in Risk, Credit, Legal and Compliance to ensure that the portfolio remains credit worthy and within the policies of the bank.<br \/>\nAgree targets and take accountability for the overall achievement of performance objectives in corporate banking.<br \/>\nParticipate in various bank projects necessary for the bank\u2019s betterment in service provision to clients.<br \/>\nKeep up to date with industry trends by following up on the developments in the market, networking, and reading market-specific newsletters, visiting websites, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge and Skills:<\/p>\n<p>Business understanding of bank\u2019s customer base, market segments, products &amp; services, knowledge of government policies relating to banking, BOT regulations, bank policies &amp; procedures.<br \/>\nCustomer Relationship Management, Building Positive Working Relationships, Coaching, Communication, Building a Successful Team, Facilitating Change, Decision Making, Developing Others, Leading through Vision &amp; Values, Formal Presentation, Planning &amp; Organizing.<br \/>\nUnderstanding of Chinese Mandarin is a must and any other Asian language will be an added advantage.<br \/>\nGood experience of various banking solutions required by corporate clients.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in economics, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing Statistics, Research or related fields.<br \/>\nRelevant certification(s) subject to the specific role requirements.<br \/>\nMaster\u2019s degree in business studies is an added advantage.<br \/>\nPostgraduate education in Banking and\/or Banking certification(s) is an added advantage.<br \/>\nA minimum of 4 years\u2019 experience in Relationship Management of Large Corporates\/Emerging Corporates\/SMEs\/Branch Management\/Business Centre management.<br \/>\nExperience in credit assessment and management.NMB Bank Plc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
