\nReports to:\u00a0HSET Manager
\nThe role of HSE\/ERT Superintendent exists to support the HSE Manager to ensure that every Sotta mining employee and contractor return from work to their home in the same way in which they came to work, and to protect the natural environment from harm. The HSE&ERT Superintendent will assist the HSE Manager in driving a safety culture and ensuring employees understand their responsibilities with respect to HSE. The HSE&ERT Superintendent will further be responsible for developing and implementing health and safety and emergency management systems on site.
\nThe HSE&ERT Superintendent will also be required to coach and mentor other work group management and contractors to ensure they have the ability and understanding to apply the relevant HSE&ERT systems to their work groups and associated tasks.
\nPosition Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Ensure HSE management systems are implemented and remain effective throughout the life of mine.
\nImplement, and maintain HSE related programmes, procedures, and systems.
\nEnsure the HSE Training programmes for the Company and ensure compliance to HSE Government policies
\nCoordinate incident investigation to identify the root cause and taking remedial actions and follow up for close out accident investigation.
\nContribute to the deployment of Sotta Mining Safety Home Everyday (SHED) program and principles.
\nConduct an assessment to review and determine the emergency situations for the current operations and develop and adequate emergency response plan.
\nSupport on-the-job and external OHS training programs for relevant Sotta Mining personnel

Qualification\/ Experience\/ Skills<\/p>\n
Tertiary degree in OHS or related discipline
\nIncident Investigation qualifications (e.g. ICAM, Taproot or similar) are desirable.
\nEmergency Management, Risk Management and Behaviour Based safety are desirable
\nMinimum 8 years\u2019 experience in similar roles, 6 years\u2019 experience in mining industry
\nLead auditor competency and qualification<\/p>\n
