{"id":3042,"date":"2026-01-06T12:00:24","date_gmt":"2026-01-06T12:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/job\/relationship-manager-forestry-re-advertised-at-nmb-bank\/"},"modified":"2026-04-17T00:50:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T00:50:12","slug":"relationship-manager-forestry-re-advertised-at-nmb-bank","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/?post_type=job_listing&p=3042","title":{"rendered":"Relationship Manager; Forestry (Re-advertised) at NMB Bank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Relationship Manager; Forestry (Re-advertised) (1 Position(s))<\/p>\n<p>Job Location :<br \/>\nHighlands Zone, Mafinga<\/p>\n<p>Job Purpose:<\/p>\n<p>Grow both Liabilities (Deposits) and Assets from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Commercial clients for Forestry related business, advising Agri retail department on business strategy to build and grow Cereal portfolio, assisting Relationship Officers\/Branch Managers in recruiting business customers to ensure SME and commercial business growth for Cereal portfolio.<br \/>\nAnalyze performance of all Agri Retail loans in a mandated area of operation against the set budget and ensure compliance with quality standards of the Agri-loans products across the area of jurisdiction.<br \/>\nAdvise the Head; Agri Retail on implications and corrective measures for any business anomalies. In view of the job purpose the Relationship Manager is expected to put forward business propositions and support the product development team in modelling new products and services that fit agribusiness customers<\/p>\n<p>Main Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Prepare action plan for implementation and achievement of assets and liabilities budget objectives for his\/her area of operation\/zone.<br \/>\nReview and advise the bank on its pricing policy for Agri Retail loan products and services from time to time based on feedback from the field.<br \/>\nCome up with initiatives to improve customers\u2019 engagement platforms such as Business clubs, Agri Executive network and related Agri events.<br \/>\nMonitor and supervise all Agri Retail loans issued and disbursed in his\/her area of operation\/zone to ensure good and quality portfolio.<br \/>\nTimely preparation of periodical and ad hoc evaluation reports on Agri Retail performance on assets and liabilities (Weekly, Bi-weekly, Monthly and quarterly).<br \/>\nPlan, prepare and review marketing strategies for new and existing Agri Retail loan products from time to time.<br \/>\nMonitor and ensure that all Agri Retail loans products delivery processes are working properly and provide advice to the Head; Agri Retail for any improvement needed.<br \/>\nReview credit appraisals from Relationship Officers that require further assessment at credit department for decision.<br \/>\nAssist Branches and Zones to prepare budgets for Agri Retail assets and liabilities.<br \/>\nTrain and coach Relationship Officers on various business best practices and processes in evaluating and assessing Agri Retail Loan applicants.<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge and Skills:<\/p>\n<p>Sound knowledge of Forestry business and its supply chains<br \/>\nSound knowledge of Agri Retail Banking products and services in the agricultural value chains.<br \/>\nExcellent knowledge of agriculture sector dynamics and related laws.<br \/>\nSound understanding of other bank loan products, policies and procedures for cross-selling purposes.<br \/>\nExcellent knowledge of banking operations and financial markets in Tanzania.<br \/>\nKnowledge of forestry economics, sustainability, and environmental regulations<br \/>\nComputer proficiency (Excel, word, power point presentation and access)<br \/>\nExcellent communication (English and Kiswahili), numerical, analytical, report writing and presentation skills<br \/>\nSelf-motivated, innovative with ability to initiate and lead change.<br \/>\nGood customer relationship management with ambition to provide solutions to customers\u2019 expectations.<br \/>\nManagerial and leadership skills (conceptual and resourcefulness)<br \/>\nStrong interpersonal and networking skills for both internal and external customers<br \/>\nAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.<br \/>\nPeople management, representation, team building and developing performing teams<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Forestry or Environmental Science, Agricultural Economics, Natural Resource Management, or related field<br \/>\nMinimum of 4 years\u2019 banking experience, inclusive of roles in credit assessment, client management, project appraisal and other bank operations<br \/>\nUnderstanding of forestry supply chains, timber markets, and carbon credit systems<br \/>\nNMB Bank Plc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
