\nJob Description:<\/p>\n
Facilitate quality information generation from smallholder farmers on agroforestry practices and biodiversity conservation and restoration shared with policy and decision makers at local, national, regional and international levels.
\nFacilitate formation of strong platforms for advocating on smallholder farmers policies and concerns at local, national and regional levels and manage their operationalization.
\nFacilitate routine dialogue of the high-level platforms for policy and decision makers on issues related to agroforestry; food security; climate change adaptation, mitigation, resilience and conservation of biodiversity.
\nEngage policy and decision makers for integration of Agroforestry interventions into districts and sectoral plans and budgets.
\nTo facilitate annual sectoral budget analysis and advocacy for responsible sectoral ministries, departments and district councils for Increased budget allocation for agroforestry practices and sustainable agriculture land management as stipulated in the International, regional and national strategies and conventions.
\nTo facilitate analysis of Agroforestry sectoral policies, plans and strategies to generate evidence for advocacy purposes.
\nTo capacitate and guide ASILI B technical and core partners on budget and policy advocacy engagements with policy and decision-makers.
\nTo support smallholder farmers and partners in monitoring of public resource allocation and spending at council and community levels.
\nTo facilitate development of policy briefs for communicating the policy evidence generated to various Agroforestry partners and stakeholders.
\nTo prepare activity, quarterly and annual implementation reports.
\nTo perform any other duties related to advancement of Agroforestry policy environment in Tanzania.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Qualification & Experience Required:<\/p>\n
University Degree specifically form Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) in Agribusiness, Agriculture general, Forestry or any other related qualification.
\nAt least 2 years\u2019 experience in the areas of Governance, accountability, policy analysis, budget analysis and policy advocacy.
\nExperience in engagement with policy and decision makers, duty bearers and Government leaders at local and national levels.
\nSkills and strong competence in facilitation, training, moderation and organization.
\nStrong and good experience in report writing particularly policy and budget briefs.
\nExperience in working for Agriculture policies, farmers and local Government will be an added advantage.
\nProven ICT skills and experience especially in the development of MIS software and tools for data collection and analysis;
\nFluency in written and spoken English.<\/p>\n
