\nThe Key Purpose of this role is to lead the shift-based team\/s in the execution of the production plan to the required performance criteria (QCDSM)
\nKey Roles and Responsibilities:
\nMAINTAIN A SAFE AND HEALTH WORKING ENVIRONMENT:<\/p>\n
Comply with safety, health and environmental procedures and legislation
\nMaintain safety and housekeeping standards<\/p>\n
OPTIMISE PRODUCTION PERFORMANCE & PROCESSES:<\/p>\n
Ensure Packaging Efficiencies attained {GLY, OSE, LEF and Others).
\nManages shift in accordance with VPO tools and principles
\nManages shift to achieve production plan within the allowed costs
\nCo-ordinate scheduled maintenance and autonomous operations
\nMonitor and co-ordinate production processes to within budget.
\nInterpret and implement the production plan for shift.
\nEnsure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.<\/p>\n
PERFORM ADMINISTRATION:<\/p>\n
Ensure application of admin systems and procedures.
\nAdminister conditions of employment for team members.
\nContribute to self and team development.
\nPrepare and control budgets.<\/p>\n
INITIATE AND FACILITATE TEAM PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING:<\/p>\n
Apply problem solving and decision-making techniques and principles.
\nFacilitate team problem solving.<\/p>\n
MANAGE HUMAN RESOURCES:<\/p>\n
Develop employees.
\nEnsure a healthy industrial relations climate.
\nManage and apply people policies and practices.<\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements:
\nEducation:<\/p>\n
Min \u2013 Post Matric Tertiary Qualification e.g. National Diploma or equivalent in engineering<\/p>\n
Training:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Min \u2013 3 months on the job training
\nCompletion of a ABInbev packaging Traineeship (Desirable but not essential)<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
Min \u2013 SAP (Where applicable) and Voyager Plant Optimisation (VPO); Experience in a packaging process environment; Supervisory level experience
\nMinimum 2 years in FMCG environment
\nExperience of managing and running a high-speed packaging line would be highly advantageous<\/p>\n
