Job Purpose\u00a0
\nThis position is established for the effective delivery and efficient transport services for the\u00a0 project staff and activities as required in Favor of the Railway Children Africa Kesho Bora\u00a0 Project or Mwanza Project.
\nSpecific Accountabilities\u00a0
\nA: Safe Driving\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
To drive safely and comfort the organization\u2019s vehicles to different destinations i.e.\u00a0 field sites while discharging office duties.
\nEnsures that the Logbook for the vehicles is properly maintained and filled\u00a0 appropriately for each trip and destinations.
\nEnsure all employees, visitors or beneficiaries boarding the vehicle have been\u00a0 authorized to do so by relevant organization authorities.
\nMaintaining the organization\u2019s vehicles and managing preventive repairs for them.
\nEnsuring motor vehicle general Services are fully made after every 5,000 kilometres\u00a0 and the vehicles are maintained clean always and on a regular basis.
\nRefuelling the vehicle on time and requesting fuel top ups as required.
\nEnsure Admin\u00a0 personnel and supervisor has approved the fuel requests.
\nEnsure that the vehicle\u2019s tires are of the required standard and the toolbox is\u00a0 available in the car all the time.
\nPrepare the Monthly Fuel Consumption Report for Vehicles based on the travel\u00a0 Request Form and Logbook so that to allocate cost per project\/Donor Funds and\u00a0 submit together with scanned\/physical vehicle request, fuel top ups and mileage\u00a0 logbooks for reconciliation to Admin Personnel and supervisor for reviews
\nOrient new employees and refresh existing employees on general vehicle usage and\u00a0 safety while on their trips. This may be extended to visitors and beneficiaries where\u00a0 appropriate.<\/p>\n
B: Logistics & Other Office Support\u00a0<\/p>\n
To dispatch office documents and parcels as may be directed by supervisors.
\nSupport the administrative functions of the department on logistics, storage and\u00a0 procurement of items including production of reports whenever necessary and\u00a0 requested by supervisor.<\/p>\n
C: Other Duties:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Any other duties in relation to the above as assigned by your supervisor.<\/p>\n
G: General duties\u00a0<\/p>\n
Uphold and work within Railway Children\u2019s policies and procedures.
\nActively promote and embody Railway Children\u2019s core values of Integrity, Bravery,\u00a0 Innovation and Effectiveness across the organisation and partners.
\nTravel to Railway Children\u2019s field operations as and when required.
\nUndertake any other duties, as appropriate to the post, as delegated by the line\u00a0 manager.<\/p>\n
Person Specification\u00a0
\nKnowledge & experience:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Sound knowledge of various vehicle management skills.
\nAlso being familiar with Tanzania\u2019s environment and locations
\nDriving and traffic road signs understanding,
\n3+ years\u2019 experience in NGO Driving or other reputable organization.
\nA certificate from NIT is an added advantage<\/p>\n
Skill sets:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Certificate of Secondary Education.
\nCertification in Driving preferred class \u201cC\u201d license (C1, C2, C3)
\nGood communication and time management.
\nExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to children.
\nKnowledge on MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel and in various\u00a0 accounting software.
\nStrong presentation skills.
\nFluent Kiswahili and English.
\nStrong documentation skills.
\nBeing analytical and having eye for detail.<\/p>\n
