\nBackground
\nATCL SACCOS LTD is a registered Savings and Credit Co-operative Society whose main objective is to mobilize savings from members and in return provide credit facilities. ATCL SACCOS LTD is an employee-based SACCOS which was established in November 2021 as per the requirements of the Co-operative Societies ACT No. 6 of 2013.
\nThe objectives of the ATCL SACCOS are to encourage saving amongst members by educating members the advantages of developing a savings behavior, proper management of money through proper investment and best practices aimed at improving the social and economic conditions of the members.
\nATCL SACCOS LTD is seeking to recruit competent qualified Tanzanian professionals to the following vacancies:

\nAssistant Accountant (1 POST)
\nPurpose of the Job<\/p>\n
To Initiate loan payments to ATCL SACCOS members and payments to suppliers.
\nTo manage cash and account receivables of the ATCL SACCOS
\nTo record and maintain the Non-Current Assets Register of the ATCL SACCOS.<\/p>\n
All these to be performed as per ATCL SACCOS LTD Financial Regulations and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
\nDuties and responsibilities<\/p>\n
To review monthly bank reconciliation reports for revenue and expenditure accounts of the ATCL SACCOS.
\nTo capture invoices, payment vouchers and petty cash in the expenditure ATCL SACCOS accounting system and verify the correctness of claims and payments.
\nTo prepare ATCL SACCOS monthly expenditure reports and supporting schedules.
\nUpdate ATCL SACCOS Members Control Accounts with recoveries contributions from salaries i.e. monthly Payroll deductions remitted to ATCL SACCOS.
\nTo dispatch statutory deductions to the respective recipients by the due dates.
\nTo ensure that expenditures fall within the approved budget limits.
\nTo effect Payments through electronic funds transfers (EFT).
\nTo attend queries concerning payments and retirements.
\nTo verify printed payroll deductions periods and members\u2019 recovery results.
\nTo perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.<\/p>\n

\nQualifications<\/p>\n
A Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, or Finance or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
\nAt least 1 year of experience in accounting or finance-related work.
\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
\nIntegrity and efficiency in handling financial information.<\/p>\n

\nGood IT skills and proficient in Microsoft office excel
