Job Summary
\nThe Tender Pricing Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and profitable pricing for bids, tenders, and proposals. The role involves detailed cost estimation, financial modelling, risk assessment, and collaboration with technical, procurement, and business development teams to ensure commercially viable submissions that maximize win rates while protecting margins.
\nJob Responsibilities
\nTender & Bid Preparation<\/p>\n
Review tender documents (RFPs, RFQs, BOQs, specifications and contracts).
\nPrepare detailed pricing schedules, cost sheets, and financial proposals.
\nEnsure compliance with client and procurement requirements.
\n\u00a0Submit accurate pricing within deadlines.<\/p>\n
Cost Estimation & Pricing Analysis<\/p>\n
\u00a0Estimate costs for materials, labor, equipment, logistics, and subcontractors.
\n\u00a0Develop pricing models and margin calculations.
\n\u00a0Prepare budgets and forecasts for proposed projects.
\n\u00a0Analyze historical data to improve pricing accuracy.<\/p>\n
Financial & Commercial Evaluation<\/p>\n
\u00a0Conduct profitability and break-even analysis.
\n\u00a0Assess financial and operational risks and apply contingencies.
\n\u00a0Recommend competitive pricing strategies aligned with market conditions.
\n\u00a0Support negotiations and clarifications with clients.<\/p>\n
Collaboration & Reporting<\/p>\n
Work closely with finance, procurement, technical, and sales teams.
\nMaintain tender databases and documentation.
\nPrepare management reports and bid summaries.
\nTrack estimated vs actual project costs for continuous improvement.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements
\nQualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Procurement, or related field.
\n2\u20135 years\u2019 experience in tender pricing, cost estimation, or commercial analysis.
\n\u00a0Experience preparing bids or working with government or private tenders is preferred.<\/p>\n
