{"id":3219,"date":"2026-02-11T14:02:10","date_gmt":"2026-02-11T14:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/job\/human-resources-officer-job-at-uba-tanzania-head-office-opportunity\/"},"modified":"2026-02-16T00:50:06","modified_gmt":"2026-02-16T00:50:06","slug":"human-resources-officer-job-at-uba-tanzania-head-office-opportunity","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/?post_type=job_listing&p=3219","title":{"rendered":"Human Resources Officer Job at UBA Tanzania \u2013 Head Office Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Human Resources Officer\u00a0Job Reference indicator:\u00a0(not specified)<br \/>\nOrganization Function:\u00a0Human Resources<br \/>\nJob grade:\u00a0(not specified)\u00a0Organizational Level:\u00a0(not specified)\u00a0Location:\u00a0Head Office<br \/>\nReporting Relationships<\/p>\n<p>Functionally reports to: Head HR<br \/>\nAdministratively reports to: Head HR<br \/>\nSupervises: Nil<\/p>\n<p>Job objective(s)<\/p>\n<p>Implement initiatives aimed at enhance the total employee worklife cycle, Improve Staff perfomance through training and development that will lead to the overlall improved performance of the organization.<\/p>\n<p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Follow up on preparation and completion for KPIs for all staff<br \/>\nMonitor the performance of staff and manage poor performers.<br \/>\nMonitor and manage employee confirmation based on performance<br \/>\nPreparation of Annual training plan<br \/>\nIdentify training needs of all staff and develop training plan.<br \/>\nImplement the Bank\u2019s training plan as per the approved budget.<br \/>\nImplement rewards and recognition schemes based on performance.<br \/>\nLearning champion and work with UBA Academy for various staff learning opportunities.<br \/>\nPreparation of various monthly and annual training and Performance related reports.<br \/>\nAssist the Head HCM to align all policies and procedures to comply with statutory requirements while ensuring adherence to the same by all employees.<br \/>\nConsult and train employees and line managers regarding the Bank\u2019s Staff policy and other HR related policies and procedures.<br \/>\nManage staff information\/Data, movement of employees from one job to another which includes promotions and transfers.<br \/>\nPrepare and Coordinate wellness programs for all staff.<br \/>\nProcess monthly payroll and preparing of monthly statutory reports and payments<br \/>\nParticipate in designing and preparation of employee engagement activities<br \/>\nMaking sure that the notice period given by exiting staff is as per employment contact, preparing acceptance of resignation letters, conducting exit interviews in liaison with the Head of HR, and making sure that clearance procedures are adhered to.<br \/>\nPayroll processing by providing accurate and timely employee data, including new hires, exits, and changes.<br \/>\nEmployees benefits administration such as medical insurance, pension schemes, Group Life and other staff benefits.<br \/>\nPrepare and maintain HR reports on recruitment, turnover, leave, training, and other key HR metrics.<br \/>\nAdminister disciplinary processes in line with the bank\u2019s disciplinary policy, labour laws, and principles of natural justice.<br \/>\nSupport investigations into misconduct, ethical breaches, fraud-related concerns, and policy violations, in collaboration with Compliance, Risk, and Internal Audit where required.<br \/>\nCoordinate disciplinary hearings, issue notices, warnings, and outcomes, and maintain proper documentation.<br \/>\nTrack disciplinary cases, sanctions, and trends to identify conduct risks and recommend preventive actions.<br \/>\nAny other assigned duties.<\/p>\n<p>Key Performance Indicators<\/p>\n<p>Number of employee movements vs. planned<br \/>\nEfficiency at implementing career management programs<br \/>\nTimely payroll and benefits processing<br \/>\nMaintain employee records and HR documentation<br \/>\nTimeliness in carrying out assigned tasks and duties<br \/>\nCustomer satisfaction index<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Education Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in any Social Science field or Humanities<\/p>\n<p>Previous Work Experience Requirements<\/p>\n<p>Minimum requisite experience \u2013 3 years relevant experience<\/p>\n<p>Key Competency List\u00a0Knowledge<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge of UBA organization structure<br \/>\nPractical &amp; broad understanding of policies, methods, systems, processes<br \/>\nPerformance management<br \/>\nTraining needs analysis<br \/>\nTraining needs analysis<br \/>\nHR operations<br \/>\nLabour laws<br \/>\nHR Metrics<\/p>\n<p>Skills\/Competencies\u00a0Professional disposition, possess strong IT appreciation &amp; application skills, must pay attention to detail, Reporting, Analytical Thinking, Workload Management, good numeric ability, supervisory skills.
