Job Purpose:
\nResponsible for day-to-day Debit Card Product Sales, Performance and Analytics; Also responsible for operational efficiency within the bank for Debit card products under issuing business unit.<\/p>\n
Main Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Initiate market research to gather market and product intelligence information related to card market mix from competitors and propose approach to cover the gaps.
\nEnsure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule with the effective support from Communication and Marketing departments (effective go to market plan).
\nMake creative recommendations to expand product base, usage and tracking of product impact to end user
\nAssists in managing vendor relations as they apply to the unit. Monitors service levels and performance. Participate in policy creation, review and implementation.
\nPerform end-to-end demonstration of new products and when changes are implemented.
\nConduct card product user acceptance test in collaboration with other stakeholders within the bank
\nAssist in the identification of potential risk factors and determine solutions to mitigate exposure.
\nAssist in resolving customer issues and escalation to the relevant levels for quick resolution as per financial customer protection regulation.
\nDriving card usage, number of active customers to ensure the bank reaches its financial targets.<\/p>\n
Knowledge and Skills:<\/p>\n
Knowledge in card scheme and its regulatory framework.
\nBusiness understanding of banking operations, electronic products, product development.
\nGreater knowledge of constructing reports, executive summaries, and briefs
\nGreater understanding of card product life cycle
\nDetailed understanding of consumer behavior, marketing techniques and evolving trends.
\nConversant on card product offering in the Tanzania marketing
\nFamiliarity with Agile framework
\nExcellent communication skills
\nProblem-solving aptitude; Creative thinking skills
\nStrong Analytical skills; MS Excel proficiency
\nReport writing and Presentation skills.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
A bachelor\u2019s degree in Business, IT, economics, Finance or related field.
\nAny course or training in product development is an added advantage
\nMinimum of 3 years proven hands on experience in Card Products or similar role.
\nA background in Card Business or Card Network is mandatory.
