{"id":3253,"date":"2026-02-19T16:00:28","date_gmt":"2026-02-19T16:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/job\/safety-officer-at-dp-world\/"},"modified":"2026-05-21T00:50:42","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T00:50:42","slug":"safety-officer-at-dp-world","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/?post_type=job_listing&p=3253","title":{"rendered":"Safety Officer at DP World"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Function<br \/>\nTo assist in the implementation of Fatal Risk Standards and Safety Management System therefore adding support to the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations of HSE Department.<br \/>\nKey Performance Areas<br \/>\nRegularly monitoring the safety standards and procedures in the Terminal therefore ensuring smooth running of daily shifts in safety related matters.<br \/>\nTo assist in the implementation of Fatal Risk Standards and Safety Management System within the port and ensure its compliance with International Safety Standards.<br \/>\nTo conduct routine inspections related to fire and safety therefore ensuring operational area is compliant in all matters relating to safety.<br \/>\nTo advise personnel and ensure training is provided in all safety related matters to all new and existing personnel.<br \/>\nTo record and maintain a database of all inspections conducted to follow up and identify corrective actions.<br \/>\nTo assist the HSE Manager in investigating accidents or incidents to identify conditions that cause accidents and seek actions to prevent the same.<br \/>\nTo ascertain toolbox talks are carried out with members of other departments therefore ensuring all departments are fully aware of all safety procedures.<br \/>\nQualifications Required:<br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s degree in environmental studies, Health, Risk Management and Relevant Studies.<br \/>\nExperience and Skills Required<br \/>\nMinimum of 2 years hands on experience in safety matters.<br \/>\nUndergone any safety training courses (i.e. Nebosh, Iosh).<br \/>\nHandling Emergency \u2013 Accident \/ Collision\/ Fire\/Leakages\/Pollution, etc.<br \/>\nExperience in conducting Risk Assessment.<br \/>\nPrevious port experience would be an advantageous.<br \/>\nAbout DP World<br \/>\nTrade is the lifeblood of the global economy, creating opportunities and improving the quality of life for people around the world.
