\nTo execute aircraft ground handling activities safely, efficiently, and in compliance with operational and safety\u00a0 procedures
\nResponsibilities\u00a0<\/p>\n
Marshall operators to and from the aircraft
\nUnload passenger luggage and air cargo, bulk and\/or containers\/pallets, onto carts and\/or dollies\u00a0\u00a0\u2022\u00a0Unload wheelchairs and child strollers and deliver to designated location
\nProvide special handling of luggage\/cargo as required\/directed
\nDeliver passenger luggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
\nDeliver air cargo to appropriate recipient
\nDrive and\/or operate ground support equipment to include tow tractors, tow bars, belt loaders, container\u00a0 loaders, baggage tugs, water\/lavatory service trucks, aircraft ground power units, aircraft air start units,\u00a0 air stairs, aircraft de-icing units, baggage carts, cargo dollies and passenger vans.
\nCollect and load mail, live animals, wheelchairs and child strollers onto aircraft
\nService aircraft water and lavatories
\nInspect ramp areas adjacent to gate and aircraft for debris and remove\/dispose of when found.
\n\u00a0Report all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor\/manager
\nComply with Swissport\u2019s standard operation procedures (SOPs), QHSE Manual and policies
\n\u00a0Follow training and rules, apply correct procedures and use personal protective equipment as instructed
\n\u00a0Report any incident, near miss, unsafe act or condition according to this manual. In case of doubt stop the\u00a0 task and consult superior for guidance
\nPerform duties conscientiously, without putting themselves, others, or the environment at risk
\n\u00a0Also other duties as assigned<\/p>\n
Qualification and Competencies\u00a0
\nSelf-driven and dynamic individual who is also a team player and able to work under pressure and possess the\u00a0 following qualifications and skills:<\/p>\n
From IV Certificate to Diploma level qualification
\nValid driver\u2019s license
\nAbility to lift to 32 kilograms
\nGood communication skills in English and Swahili
\nAbility to work in adverse weather conditions
\nStrong health and safety awareness<\/p>\n
