\nOrganization\u00a0Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) aims to be the leading provider of accessible specialized health services in Africa and serves as healthcare social enterprise and through development programmes in the community and the most vulnerable. Committed to preventing lifelong disabilities wherever possible, CCBRT is also engaged in extensive maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) activities including obstetric fistula repairs. Its Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral centre for high risk and emergency deliveries in the region of Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.
\nPurpose of the role\u00a0To strengthen our nursing department, CCBRT is looking for dynamic and experienced Medical Attendant (Health Volunteer) to provide assistance to clinicians at CCBRT in respective allocated area (OPD, IPD OR OTD).
\nKey responsibilities<\/p>\n
Ensure all working tools are in place and in a good working condition
\nDirect patients and relatives accordingly
\nAssist in preparation of patients before they see the doctor or go to consulting room\/theatre
\nCommunicate with doctors and other staff effectively and ensure efficient workflow
\nAssist in control patients\u2019 flow in the clinical area
\nTransport patients, equipment, supplies between the units
\nVerify specimens and transport them to the lab
\nMaintain a clean, quiet, calm and comfortable environment for the patients
\nConduct weekly, monthly cleaning as scheduled<\/p>\n

\nCandidate requirements<\/p>\n
Form 4 certificate plus one year basic nursing training from a government recognized institution
\nA minimum of 1 year of working experience
\nComputer literate
\nGood communication skills in English and Swahili
\nFlexibility
\nMultitasking
\nPro-active and eager to learn<\/p>\n
