China Dasheng Bank Limited, a licensed commercial bank regulated by the Bank of Tanzania (BoT) under the Banking and Financial Institutions Act, Cap 342 [R.E. 2023], invites applications from suitably qualified and accomplished professionals for appointment as Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) to its Board of Directors.
\nRole Summary\u00a0The Independent Non-Executive Director will provide objective oversight and contribute to the Bank\u2019s strategic direction, governance, and regulatory compliance framework.

Strategic planning and policy formulation
\nOversight of senior management performance
\nAccountability to shareholders and stakeholders
\nRisk management and regulatory compliance
\nStrengthening internal control systems
\nReview and oversight of financial reporting and disclosures<\/p>\n
Core Competencies\u00a0Applicants must demonstrate:<\/p>\n
Proven leadership and governance experience at Board or senior executive level
\nProven expertise in Audit, or Accounting experience with a sound understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance within the financial services sector.
\nIndependence of mind, impeccable integrity, and sound ethical judgment
\nStrong strategic, analytical, and communication skills
\nStakeholder awareness and regulatory sensitivity
\nCommitment to devote adequate time to Board duties and continuous professional development<\/p>\n
Minimum Eligibility Criteria\u00a0Applicants must:<\/p>\n
Be a Tanzanian citizen
\nPossess expertise in at least one of the following fields: Banking; Finance; Accounting; or Auditing.
\nHave a minimum of ten (10) years\u2019 senior management experience in banking, financial services or related institutions in Tanzania.
\nSound understanding of the local business environment
\nSatisfy the \u201cfit-and-proper\u201d and independence criteria prescribed by the Bank of Tanzania.<\/p>\n
