MFS Finance Operations Officer

\nEducational & Experience Requirements<\/p>\n
University Degree in Accounting or Finance.
\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA) will be an added advantage.
\nMinimum experience of 3 years in related field.<\/p>\n
Core Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve all identified issues within agreed timelines.
\nRecord petty cash retirements promptly and monitor outstanding advances to ensure timely closure.
\nMonitor aged receivables and support collection efforts to improve cash flow and reduce overdue balances.
\nMonitor aged payables, ensure supplier credit terms are followed and perform regular supplier reconciliations.
\nReview all purchase requisitions to ensure correct GL coding and supported with valid documentation.
\nCoordinate with user departments to ensure GRNs are accurately captured and supported with DOA.
\nMaintain month end schedules required for journal postings, including accruals, prepayments and provisions.
\nWork with reconciliation team to clear reconciling items for bank, wallet and general ledger balances.
\nPerform monthly 3-way reconciliations between trust account, ecosystem platform and the general ledger.
\nIdentify and resolve data integrity issues promptly.
\nSupport month end and year end close processes through timely and accurate operational finance inputs.
\nPerform any additional duties or tasks assigned by management.<\/p>\n
Core Competencies<\/p>\n
Strong reconciliation skills, including balance-sheet, bank, wallet and 3-way reconciliations.
\nSolid understanding of accounting principles, GL management and month-end processes.
\nAccuracy in financial posting, documentation and compliance with DOA and internal controls.
\nAnalytical skills to interpret financial data, resolve discrepancies and support process improvements.
\nEffective communication and coordination with finance teams, suppliers and internal departments.<\/p>\n
