\nObjective of the Role:
\nTo support the Production Manager in overseeing greenhouse and crop maintenance operations, ensuring optimal crop performance, compliance with company standards, effective labour coordination, and accurate production reporting. The role requires a proactive, hands-on professional who can maintain operational discipline and support continuous improvement within a structured production environment.
\nMain Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Coordinate daily crop maintenance and greenhouse operations to ensure consistent plant performance and production efficiency.
\nCoordinate preparation of growing area (greenhouse structure and growing media), and transition activities in line with approved production plans.
\nMonitor crop health and performance, identifying risks and escalating issues in a timely manner.
\nEnsure strict adherence to hygiene, safety, and internal operational protocols at all times.
\nConduct routine inspections across crop stages and maintain accurate production and performance records.
\nSupport labour planning, including duty scheduling, leave planning, and task allocation to ensure continuous operations.
\nMonitor facility condition and report maintenance requirements to relevant departments.
\nAccurately capture production data within internal management systems.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Skills:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
3\u20135 years of relevant hands-on experience in greenhouse or crop production environments.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Strong understanding of controlled-environment crop production principles and hygiene standards.
\nProven supervisory experience with the ability to coordinate labour effectively and maintain high operational standards.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Good communication skills in both English and Swahili.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Computer literacy, including working knowledge of MS Office and production data systems.<\/p>\n
