\nMain Duties<\/p>\n
Fulfill customer delivery requirements<\/p>\n
Ensure daily sales orders are planned on time and publish accurate daily route schedules.
\nProactively identify risks and challenges in deliveries, then take corrective actions for improvement based on available information.
\nEnsure all relevant Proof of Deliveries (PODs) and documentation are returned to the Logistics Office within KPI lead times.
\nIdentify carry-over orders, implement corrective actions, and provide feedback to customers.
\nDownload orders from the ERP system to Microsoft Excel as the basis for the day\u2019s schedule.
\nAllocate orders to transporters, selecting the best delivery and most cost-effective options.
\nMaintain effective, ongoing communication with transport coordinators to meet customer needs.
\nCommunicate any changes in transport allocations, shipping points, or rates to customers before confirming load allocations.<\/p>\n
Develop strong knowledge of the geographic area and customer base<\/p>\n
Understand terrain and route conditions that could impact successful order delivery.
\nBe aware of different customers\u2019 delivery preferences, including timing and off-loading requirements.<\/p>\n
Perform administration tasks related to transporters and databases<\/p>\n
Distribute transporter rate sheets and other communications in a timely and effective manner.
\nMaintain and update the transporters\u2019 contact database.
\nSource transport rates and submit them for updating in the rates database.<\/p>\n
Build and maintain good working relationships with transporters<\/p>\n
Contact approved transporters to confirm truck availability for the following day.
\nEnsure load feedback is accurate and complete.
\nEstablish trust and create a dependable, mutually beneficial delivery function.
\nDevelop a solid understanding of transport business factors such as availability, routes, and capacities.
\nFoster relationships that allow special requests to be accommodated, benefiting both costs and customers.<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance and safety<\/p>\n
Comply with OSHA requirements as per company and statutory regulations.
\nObserve relevant environmental policies and regulations.
\nAdhere to the Heidelberg Materials Group Code of Business Conduct, Compliance Policies, and Guidelines.<\/p>\n
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements (Qualifications and Experience)<\/p>\n
Minimum of a Diploma in Logistics or a related field.
\nAt least 3 years\u2019 experience in an order generation and fulfilment or distribution environment.
\nGood understanding of order generation and fulfilment business processes.
\nKnowledge of geographic regions and transportation business models.
\nKnowledge of customer orientation and specific delivery requirements.
\nProficient in relevant ERP system modules.
\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.
\nExcellent attention to detail.
\nAbility to respond proactively and\/or with urgency to changing delivery demands.<\/p>\n
