\nBank of India (Tanzania) Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Bank of India, is seeking experienced, energetic, and committed Tanzanians to fill the following positions.
\nManager \/ Officer Credit
\nQualifications, Experience, Skills & Attributes<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Banking, Economics, Accountancy, Finance, or Business Administration and Management.
\nFour years of working experience in a bank or financial institution, out of which a minimum of three years should be in branch operations, preferably in the credit department.
\nExperience in processing and analyzing credit proposals, monitoring borrower accounts, recovery in irregular borrower accounts, handling trade finance business, and canvassing credit business.
\nGood communication skills (written and oral), strong analytical skills, computer software skills (including Excel), and ability to convince and mobilize customers.<\/p>\n
Duties\/Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Prepare and process loan proposals of proponents, including disbursement, LC opening, SBLC, and bank guarantee issuance.
\nAnalyze balance sheets to assess credit limits.
\nCarry out physical inspection of loan securities.
\nComplete the documentation process before disbursing limits.
\nFollow up with borrowers for regular operations in loan accounts.
\nScrutinize inward and outward transactions in borrower accounts.
\nSupervision of vouchers in the credit department.
\nFollow up for recovery of interest, loan installments, and any other overdue amounts in existing NPA accounts.
\nLiaison with lawyers, valuers, and recovery agents for various activities.
\nPrepare closing returns to the regulator pertaining to the Credit Department.
\nPrepare various statements to Head Office pertaining to the Credit Department.
\nEnsure proper filing and safe keeping of all papers & documents.
\nCanvass business for the bank.<\/p>\n
