What you\u2019ll do<\/p>\n
With Manager \u2013 IT, Security, and Special Projects,\u00a0you will enforce School policies and procedures regarding security as per the Employer\u2019s approved procedures.
\nAssists school administrators in the prevention of personal injury, property loss and disruption of the educational process through routine patrol, crime prevention techniques, surveillance, emergency response, recovery of property, etc.
\nCreate and improves security procedures for the School.
\nSupervise and participate in patrols in all areas, buildings, grounds, parking lots, etc. to prevent student disruptions, theft, vandalism and unauthorized and illegal entry and other activities that detract from a safe, secure and orderly school environment
\nConduct random inspection during night hours, weekends and public holidays to ensure the security personnel are alert in all campuses
\nSupervise the hired-third-party Security Firm and their due-diligence as per the established contract
\nMaintains a high level of visibility as students and staff arrive and depart from school ensuring the search activities are done per the security procedures
\nIdentify and address altercations, arguments, or disruptive behavior in a timely and professional manner
\nEnsure timely documentation and reporting of incidents within 24 hours and within the occurrence of the incident
\nPromote a culture of safety awareness within the School community<\/p>\n
What we\u2019re looking for<\/p>\n
Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Security Management\/Supervision.
\nMinimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in a similar positions.
\nRegistered as a Security Officer.
\nValid Police Clearance certificate
\nPhysical Requirement: Physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods of times, and comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
\nWorking conditions: rotational shifts including days, night, weekends, and public holidays, may require on-call for emergency response, and work across multiple campuses within Arusha.
\nOutstanding surveillance and observation skills.
\nExcellent communication and reporting skills
\nStrong judgment and decision-making skills
\nWorking knowledge of public safety, security operations, and procedures.
\nKnowledge of relevant Tanzania laws and regulations
\nExperience working in a school is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
