\nJob Purpose
\nTo support the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and Tanzanian statutory requirements.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Bookkeeping and Data Entry<\/p>\n
Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
\nMaintain accurate and organized financial records.
\nAssist in updating the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.<\/p>\n
Accounts Payable<\/p>\n
Process supplier invoices and ensure proper documentation.
\nPrepare payment vouchers and assist in processing payments.
\nMaintain records of all supplier transactions.<\/p>\n
Accounts Receivable<\/p>\n
Issue invoices to customers and update receivable records.
\nMonitor outstanding balances and assist in following up with clients.
\nMaintain proper documentation for receivable transactions.<\/p>\n
Bank and Cash Reconciliation<\/p>\n
Assist in preparing bank reconciliations.
\nMaintain petty cash records and verify supporting documents.
\nSupport monitoring of daily cash balances.<\/p>\n
Support in Financial Reporting<\/p>\n
Assist in preparation of monthly financial reports.
\nPrepare schedules and supporting documents required by the Senior Accountant.<\/p>\n
Tax and Statutory Support<\/p>\n
Assist in preparation of tax schedules including VAT, PAYE, and withholding tax in compliance with requirements of the\u00a0Tanzania Revenue Authority.
\nMaintain statutory records and documentation.<\/p>\n
Audit Support<\/p>\n
Assist in preparation of documents for internal and external audits.
\nOrganize financial files and supporting documents.<\/p>\n
Administrative Finance Duties<\/p>\n
File financial documents and maintain accounting records.
\nAssist with other finance-related administrative duties as assigned.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Diploma or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
\nCPA (T) or ACCA Part I or II in progress, recognized by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors.
\n0\u20132 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
\nBasic knowledge of accounting software (Odoo or similar).
\nExperience or exposure in a Microfinance Institution (MFI) or financial services environment will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n
