Board Directorship Positions
\nThe CSD & Registry Company Limited (CSDR) is looking for persons with competence, knowledge and experience in Financial Management, Audit, financial Investments, Digital Systems, Cybersecurity, IT Governance, Accounting, Audit, Financial Reporting, Investments oversight, and Digital Transformation to serve in its Board of Directors as Independent Directors.
\nThe CSDR is the Central Securities Depository (CSD) playing a critical role in the safekeeping, clearing, and settlement of securities transactions in the Tanzanian capital market ecosystem. To strengthen the Board\u2019s expertise and oversight, the Company seeks to appoint two (2) Directors with expertise in Finance and Information Technology (IT).
\nCSDR is a subsidiary company of the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange PLC (DSE).
\nMinimum Requirements
\nAn applicant should:<\/p>\n
Possess personal qualities to make substantive contributions to the Board deliberations;
\nPossess Bachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant field (postgraduate qualifications will be an added advantage);
\nHave at least 10 years of senior professional experience in the relevant field;
\nDemonstrate understanding of corporate governance principles;
\nHave high integrity and sound professional reputation; and
\nPrior board or senior management experience will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\nSuccessful candidates will contribute to the Board\u2019s responsibilities including but not limited to:<\/p>\n
Providing strategic guidance and oversight to the management of CSDR;
\nEnsuring sound corporate governance and compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
\nSupporting the development and implementation of CSDR\u2019s strategic objectives; and
\nContributing expertise in the respective professional fields to enhance Board effectiveness.<\/p>\n
