\nWe are looking for a motivated and highly experienced individual to fill the position of:
\n1. System Administrator
\nPurpose:\u00a0The System Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day management, support and maintenance of the company\u2019s IT infrastructure. This role involves ensuring that systems and related infrastructure run efficiently and securely to support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of system architecture, network administration, cybersecurity best practices, network ecosystems, and cloud technologies.
\nMain Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
System Installation and Configuration:<\/p>\n
Install, configure, and maintain servers (physical and virtual), storage systems and network devices.
\nManage the installation and configuration of software, applications and security updates.
\nManage user accounts, permissions, and access controls via Active Directory or other identity management tools.<\/p>\n
System Maintenance and Monitoring:<\/p>\n
Monitor system performance, uptime, and resource utilization, ensuring optimal functionality.
\nTroubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
\nApply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes regularly.<\/p>\n
Backup and Recovery:<\/p>\n
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans for critical systems and data.
\nEnsure regular backups are conducted and periodically test data recovery processes.<\/p>\n
Network and Security Infrastructure Management:<\/p>\n
Administer network security infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless systems.
\nEnsure security best practices are followed across all systems and infrastructure, including regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
\nMonitor for potential security threats and implement countermeasures such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).<\/p>\n
User Support and Training:<\/p>\n
Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot issues, and ensure efficient problem resolution.
\nProvide training and documentation to staff on the use of systems and tools.<\/p>\n
Systems Optimization:<\/p>\n
Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with computer systems.
\nRecommend and implement system improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.<\/p>\n
Research and deploy new technologies and tools\u00a0to improve system performance.
\nDocumentation and Reporting:<\/p>\n
Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
\nGenerate reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions for management review.<\/p>\n
Collaboration:<\/p>\n
Work closely with the IT team to ensure all systems integrate smoothly, and software licensing.<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
\nAcademic Qualifications:\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
\nExperience:<\/p>\n
3-5 years of experience in operating systems (Windows Server, Linux role).
\nExperience as a systems administrator or similar role.
\nFamiliarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, virtualization, etc.).
\nKnowledge of networking protocols (TCP\/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).<\/p>\n
