\nJob Summary<\/p>\n
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of My Home Furniture Co. Ltd, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and high-quality service delivery. This role focuses on managing importation processes, inventory, logistics, and staff while aligning operations with the company\u2019s strategic goals.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Operations Management<\/p>\n
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all operational activities including importation, warehousing, and distribution.
\nEnsure smooth workflow across departments to meet business targets.- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
Importation & Supply Chain Management<\/p>\n
Manage end-to-end importation processes, including supplier coordination, shipping, and customs clearance.
\nLiaise with international suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of furniture products.
\nEnsure compliance with import regulations, documentation, and duties.- Track shipments and resolve delays or logistical challenges.<\/p>\n
Inventory & Warehouse Management<\/p>\n
Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate stock without overstocking.
\nImplement efficient stock control systems and conduct regular inventory audits.- Coordinate receiving, storage, and dispatch of imported furniture.<\/p>\n
Logistics & Distribution<\/p>\n
Manage transportation and delivery processes to ensure timely customer fulfillment.
\nOptimize delivery routes and reduce logistics costs.
\nCoordinate with logistics partners and internal teams.<\/p>\n
Team Leadership<\/p>\n
Supervise and support staff across operations, including warehouse and logistics personnel.
\nConduct performance evaluations and provide training and development.- Foster a positive and productive work environment.<\/p>\n
Quality Control<\/p>\n
Ensure imported products meet company quality standards.
\nHandle damaged goods, returns, and customer complaints efficiently.- Work with suppliers to maintain product quality consistency.<\/p>\n
Financial & Cost Control<\/p>\n
Prepare and manage operational budgets.
\nMonitor importation costs including freight, duties, and taxes.
\nIdentify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.<\/p>\n
Health, Safety & Compliance<\/p>\n
Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety regulations.
\nMaintain a safe working environment in warehouse and operations.- Ensure compliance with local laws and import regulations.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Requirements<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
\nProven experience (3\u20137 years) in operations or supply chain management, preferably in importation or retail.
\nStrong understanding of import\/export procedures and regulations.
\nExcellent leadership and organizational skills.
\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory\/operations systems.<\/p>\n
