This position requires a person capable of efficiently managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting procedures, rules, and standards.<br \/>\nJob Responsibilities<br \/>\nPrepare and maintain accurate records of income and expenditure.<br \/>\nPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.<br \/>\nManage payments and receipts of funds.<br \/>\nPerform bank reconciliations.<br \/>\nManage budgets and monitor their utilization.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with financial policies and accounting regulations.<br \/>\nCollaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.<br \/>\nSafely and confidentially maintain important financial documents.<br \/>\nReview compliance with legal requirements and provide appropriate advice.<br \/>\nImplement recommendations provided in the auditor\u2019s report.<br \/>\nPrepare statutory payments (NSSF, PPF, PAYE, SDL, and WCF).<br \/>\nPrepare staff salaries.<br \/>\nReview internal control systems and recommend improvements.<br \/>\nConduct internal audits of accounts.<br \/>\nPrepare aging analysis of debts and follow up on unreturned advances.<br \/>\nAssist in responding to queries and questions from the professional auditor.<br \/>\nAssist in developing systems that will increase the efficiency of the national finance office.<br \/>\nFollow up on expenditure reports and all supporting documents for funds issued.<br \/>\nQualifications for the Applicant<br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.<br \/>\nMust possess a professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.<br \/>\nAt least 2 years of work experience in accounting activities.<br \/>\nGood knowledge of accounting systems and computer programs (e.g., Excel, accounting software).<br \/>\nStrong ability to analyze financial trends and statistics.<br \/>\nPersonal Skills and Competencies<br \/>\nGood leadership skills and ability to work with a team.<br \/>\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.<br \/>\nIntegrity, accountability, and good work ethics.<br \/>\nAbility to work under pressure and solve challenges efficiently.<br \/>\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.<br \/>\nMust be ready to work full time and travel as may be required.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
