\nJOB PURPOSE
\nThe Loan Officer \u2013 Title Loans is responsible for marketing, selling, and onboarding customers for title-backed loan products (e.g motor vehicle logbook loans or property title loans) while ensuring compliance, proper documentation, and portfolio quality.
\n\u00a0
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Sales & Business Development<\/p>\n
Market and sell\u00a0title loan products\u00a0to individual and SME clients
\nIdentify and prospect potential clients through field visits, referrals, and leads
\nExplain loan terms clearly, including interest rates, fees, repayment schedules, and penalties
\nMeet and exceed assigned\u00a0sales and disbursement targets<\/p>\n
Client Onboarding & Documentation<\/p>\n
Collect and verify required client documents
\nConduct preliminary client assessments and ensure documents are genuine and complete
\nSubmit accurate loan applications for approval within set timelines<\/p>\n
Customer Relationship Management<\/p>\n
Maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat borrowing and referrals
\nFollow up with clients throughout the loan lifecycle to ensure satisfaction and retention
\nEducate clients on responsible borrowing and repayment obligations<\/p>\n
Portfolio Quality & Support<\/p>\n
Monitor assigned loan portfolio and support early repayment follow-ups
\nWork closely with the collections team to reduce defaults and delinquencies
\nFlag potential risks, fraud indicators, or document inconsistencies early<\/p>\n
Compliance & Reporting<\/p>\n
Ensure all sales activities comply with\u00a0company policies, internal controls, and applicable Tanzanian regulations
\nPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
\nMaintain accurate client records and confidentiality at all times<\/p>\n

\nKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)<\/p>\n
Loan disbursement volume
\nNumber of active clients onboarded
\nPortfolio quality (PAR \/ default rates)
\nCustomer retention and repeat loans
\nAccuracy and completeness of documentation<\/p>\n

\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
Certificate or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
\nAt least\u00a01\u20132 years\u2019 experience in sales, preferably in microfinance, lending, or asset-based financing
\nExperience selling\u00a0logbook loans or secured loans\u00a0is an added advantage<\/p>\n

\nAbility to work independently in the field
\nBasic financial and documentation review skills
