Description<\/p>\n
Assist to provide software and hardware support for all of IITA\u2019s computer systems.
\nAssist in support of end \u2013 users with IT related problems in a responsive and service-oriented manner.
\nAssist in development and maintenance of the WLAN networks (Satellite, fibre, radios, Internet, ect)
\nAssist in set \u2013 up, management and maintenance of IT related equipment.
\nAssist to monitor back up jobs and ensure high level of completion success rate
\nAssist to help put processes in place to maintain a stable network environment.
\nAssist to trouble, shoot, installation and implementation of systems.
\nAssist to develop and monitor performance levels of software and hardware and evaluate recommend and propose alternative methods of information processing.
\nAssist in continuous improvement of network intrusion security and Antivirus protection procedures to achieve a secure and virus \u2013 free networking environment.
\nAssist to maintain hardware and software maintenance agreements to ensure integrity of operation processes.
\nAssist in maintenance of a comprehensive and functional inventory of IITA IT equipment (hardware and software).
\nAssist in liaising with IT support staff at other IITA sites within the East and southern Africa region plus Headquarters.
\nAssist to dissemination of specific procedures manuals for operating routines and network management tasks
\nAssist in implementing IT policies, procedures, and standards.
\nProvide support during meetings, workshops, and virtual sessions (e.g., setting up projectors, video conferencing tools).
\nLiaise with external service providers for IT-related services when necessary.
\nCCTV installation, maintenance, and configuration
\nWireless network support and maintenance<\/p>\n
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/p>\n
Required Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
\nAt least 1\u20133 years of relevant experience in IT support.
\nBasic knowledge of networking, operating systems (Windows\/Linux), and common office applications.
\nExperience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.<\/p>\n
